Very useful tool, Great customer support
Purchased one of these tools and it worked great, however the one I received may have had a faulty battery. After a couple of uses the battery stopped charging. I had missed the 30 day return window on Amazon so I emailed the company directly. They sent me another one very quickly at no charge (A+ on customer service). The battery doesn't hold a very long charge, but it's great for small projects. If you are doing a lot of branches or trees, be prepared to stop and recharge. This will give you time to clean up what you have already cut. They send you everything you need to get started except the pole. The kit has the main saw unit with a built-in battery pack, a charger for the main unit, the remote device with a usb-c charger, and 10 blades (be careful these blades are very sharp). I recommend getting a good heavy duty 30 ft extension pole for the higher branches. It has a charge on it right out of the box, but you may want to give a full charge before first use. Once charged, pair the remote to the saw unit. Push the little red led on the saw unit, you will hear a tone and the led will flash. Point your remote at the led and turn it on. The blinking led will go solid and you are ready. You can use the remote to test that the saw is working. (if you have already inserted a saw blade, be careful these blades are very sharp). Attach the saw unit to the extension pole, insert the saw blade, and raise the pole. Place the blade on top of the branch you want to cut and use the remote to turn on the saw. I found it best to have one person on the pole and a second as a spotter and to use the remote, but it could still easily be a one-person job.Remember, the power button on the saw unit is also the red led light on the back, and what you point the remote at when pairing. The instructions are a bit vague on this.I have several palm trees on my property and hate the mess the seeds make. This saw has been great to cut off the seed pods before they start to drop as well as getting the dead palm leaves down. I have tested it on limbs at 4-5 inches thick and it does very well. The blades are standard jig saw blades for wood, fast cut, and you can purchase them at any home improvement or tool store.Overall, I this has earned a 5-star rating because of the great customer service, and a very good and useful tool.

Gets you out of a pinch. Worth the purchase.
To begin with, the device looks and feels flimsy, but it does the trick. Pruning 30ft plus oak tree limbs, I was able to cut trunks 4" in diameter with ease. It's a little tricky to manage at 30ft in height; you'll need a strong or sturdy pole, but the device works well.Comes with about 6-8 blades...I know it was two packs. That was nice.Only negative is the battery doesn't last too long and it does not have a replacement. Battery is internal. While it charged, I was able to keep pruning the limbs and organizing them for the pickup service, so I did not mind.If you think about it, this device will save you thousands in fees to tree tall trees and saves you from potentially falling on the ladder or the cost of going to the er if you do fall.

Great for its intended purpose
This is a very handy tool for pruning hard to reach branches but keep keep expectations realistic. I have used it quite a bit to prune maple, oak and cherry trees whose dead branches are hard and tough. It cuts through 3” and smaller no problem. The unit is small, light weight and powerful for its size. The variable speed remote control is a key part of the system and works great. Typically I could cut 6 or 7 hard maple branches of approximately 1 1/2” on one charge. Another feature I like is that when the battery gets low it shifts to a low speed mode to let you know it’s about done rather than just stopping which allows you to avoid getting stuck in a branch. Now for the reality checks and possible improvements, the run time between charges is limited and recharging takes more than an hour, so an interchangeable battery pack would be great. The biggest problem I have is with the 30 foot ‘extend a reach’ pole I purchased. The saw does vibrate quite a bit in use as expected so a good sturdy pole is needed that locks in position securely. This of course is beyond the saw manufacturer’s control but perhaps they can research the market and recommend a pole that can compliment the saw.Overall the saw is very good for its intended purpose. I’ve been showing it off to friends and i am pleased with the purchase.

Safer than a ladder and helpful
Works as intended. One thing I don’t care for is it seems to not last long on a charge. Its worked ok on the first or second limb cuts but then slows down. I think I read somewhere it seems to overheat and slow down. If you turn it off and back on it cuts faster but then slows again. I will keep it but wish it worked a bit better.
