This flashlight will be your best friend.
I go to work everyday at about 4 in the morning, so it can be dark outside when I’m leaving. I let my dogs out as soon as I get up but that can be challenging when I can’t see them in the night. This mini flashlight took all my worries away. Functions off of pure will. It’s a work horse for sure. For it being the size that it is… I did not think it would be so powerful but boy was I wrong. I was left standing there in shock and awe as I watched this tiny device light up my entire backyard. The visibility is no joke! I’ve even used it to clip on my hat and door some vehicle work in the dark. It even comes with a holster you can stick on the wall next to a door which is where it usually stays. The holster comes with very strong magnets to keep the flashlight in place. The whole design of the flashlight deserves 5 starts for the amount of power it brings considering the small but perfect size. Be aware. Can run a little hot.

Good for places free from dirty metal shards when you're not in a rush
I think this is a rather posh flashlight, if you don't already have a substantial flashlight. (No, your smartphone doesn't count.) This flashlight is good if you want its length to fit in your hand. It comes with a carrying case and a magnetic 1-pin charger. It also comes with a wall mount bracket for you to magnetically place along a wall, but I don't think many users will actually go through with this.Since the both the base of this flashlight and the charging base are magnetic, I strongly recommend keeping small metal items away from this flashlight - and also avoiding areas with metal shards or pieces that can be magnetized. So, if you find yourself in environments that is dirty with fine, small metal pieces; then you might want to look at other non-magnetic flashlights. Those metal shards could electrically short out the 1-pin connector on the flashlight when putting the flashlight on the base. The battery indicator light on the power button is a nice touch. This flashlight also has many modes - I've tried reading the instructions on the paper, but I'm still not really sure I understand and have been able to easily access every single mode. In any case, as long as you take your time to access the flashlight mode you really want, then you should be able to use the most commonly used modes easily. Just don't expect to get a specific mode when the only way to interact with this flashlight is using a combination of long holds and short presses on 1 single button.I used to avoid rechargeable flashlights, as a lot of previous designs from 5-6 years ago didn't have user replaceable batteries. However, this flashlight has a battery that can be removed. Despite the fact that I'm not sure where I would buy a new internal battery needs to be changed, I feel more confident with this flashlight. It can't accept standard nonchargeable batteries, but at least this rechargeable flashlight is more repairable than almost all smartphones and many trendy but unrepairable laptops.

Digging the beam pattern and light color but...
I just got this flashlight today, I order the ODG in neutral white. Im really liking the form factor, so small and compact, I think it's the perfect size for EDC. Also the neutral white version has a very nice warm tint to it which makes it very pleasant to the eyes. The beam spread is very wide and a bit diffused which makes it a very nice semi flood light to light indoors. The moonlight mode is ridiculously low which is perfect for inside a tent or you inside a room if you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bath room. In a way I would say that this light is the opposite ( or a nice compliment ) to the Baton Turbo which has a tight hot spot and concentrated beam.If you do handy work or are looking for a small carry for inside the house I think this is your guy. I only wish you were able to place the clip in reverse so you can carry it more comfortably upside down, or at least add the plastic adapter as they did for the Warrior 3 mini. Also wish it had a tail switch but I understand thats not part of the Baton Series. For the "Baton 4 pro: wish list on the I would ask for olight to update the button to a nice metal switch one and add LED indicators. Overall I would highly recommend this light, the light color and beam size is very pleasant to the eyes,PROs:- Compact- Nice soft beam with wide hot spot.- Comes in neutral white.- Very Low and wide Moonlight mode, (best one I have seen from all my lights)CONs:- Button is rubbery and squishy and it feels somewhat cheap compared to the newer models- no design in the tail to reverse the belt clip ( also no plastic adapter to switch it.)- the head does get a bit too hot in turbo mode.- Button needs to be pressed a bit hard compared to something like the "baton 4" which has a very silent button.

Great small flashlight
Very nice flashlight - recommended by the Wirecutter review site. I has different intensity levels and it remembers the last level used when you turn it back on. The highest level is extremely bright and the lowest is quite dim. I like that it has a long-lasting rechargeable battery with an on board indicator of charge level. Charging is accomplished by attaching a magnetic cap to the end and plugging into a USB-A port. The end of the flashlight is magnetic and I have found it very handy to attach the light to something metallic so I have both hands free. Not cheap but quality rarely is.

Questions about the switch and throw distance kept this from being perfect.
While many rave about Olight, and I myself own several of the lower-end models, I couldn't love this one. I really enjoy the lower-end models for a quick charge and in your pocket convenience. Not to bash Olight specifically, but I think the flashlight industry may be a tad generous on their claims of how far the beam will reach. That, and the (to me) non-intuitive selector switch. Yeah, it is built like a tank, like all of them, and it is comfortably small but not too small, but that darn switch killed it for me. I'm only taking off one star because for all I know I could just be missing something that everyone else knows, but hey, that's why we write reviews, right? That's my take at least.
