Double Terry Waterproof Duvet Protector 200 x 200cms

You know when the duvet cover is loose and slidy inside so the duvet inside keeps moving and folding until you have a duvet ball inside the cover? That's what this one is like. Putting a second duvet cover on top of it makes it worse because the duvet keeps sliding in there and now you have 2 covers to get through to try and fix it... It's the most annoying thing in the world. It keeps the duvet dry, but it makes the duvet unusable...

This product was as described, the duvet protector arrived well packaged, undamaged and within the times statedThis protector is definitely waterproof having spilt a bowl of water over it whilst washing my face so if you need a waterproof duvet protector this is the one for you.My only disappointment is that the duvet rucks up inside the waterproof duvet protector and feels uncomfortable.Maybe this could be solved by stitching the duvet to the inside of the duvet protector, but in the end I decided buying a cheap duvet a few times a year was easier and more comfortable for me, hence the 4 stars but if you need a waterproof option regularly, then this is the one to buy.

It's really waterproof.It's not overly hot when used with my down's goose feather duvet.Only problem is washing. Sometimes in the washing machine due to the size of the cover, the stains are not always cleaned. I had to manually rinse off my rabbit's stains on it before placing it in the machine. It's also not easy to dry. I have to reverse it so the inside is out, zip it and hang it outside overnight, and then reverse it back and leave it outside another day before it's dry.

This is fairly quiet when used, little rustling. I also found it very well waterproofed.The reason I can only give it 3 stars is that when using it on a thin, low togged duvet, the duvet moves inside this cover. The waterproof cover does stay in place in the actual duvet cover, but when the duvet bunches up and you end up only using the two covers, something isn't quite right. Short of clipping the two together somehow, it makes it rather useless as a waterproof duvet cover, simply becoming a waterproof sheet instead. I also don't understand why there are zips along all 4 sides, one complete side and two half sides to form a U shape that unzips would have been sufficient, and been easier to put the duvet into.

The outside material is Terry Towelling, which is great as this is soft and has high traction so the duvet cover will not slip. Unfortunately, the inside is uncovered polyurethane which is very slippery. It is so slippery that the duvet bunches up within a day or two of putting the cover over it. This is exceptionally frustrating as there is nothing you can do about this. I literally have to take the duvet cover off, open up this waterproof cover entirely, and re-set the duvet, every few days. I understand that polyurethane provides the waterproof aspect of the cover but why not just have an additional Terry Towelling layer on the inside, so that the duvet does not bunch up, or some other mechanism to hold the duvet in place? Also, the cover is noisy and will increase the effective tog of your cover significantly (I put a 4.5 tog duvet in for summer but it now feels at least double this).
