The bible for ski touring.
This is the bible of ski touring. A must for anyone either beginners or advanced. Everything is covered in a very easy way to understand but not patronising- with a lovely light and humorous style. The illustrations are excellent and add greatly to the text.It is a companion book to his other book on Alpine mountaineering which is also excellent. An essential reference book, and one to revisit frequently.

Comprehensive Guidebook to Ski Touring
This is a very thorough reference book that would be valuable to ski tourers of all levels. If you're just getting into the sport it provides an excellent introduction to all aspects. But even if you're an experienced tourer, it is a very handy and comprehensive reminder of safety techniques and other aspects of mountain craft. A good book to re-read at the beginning of each season as a refresher. The author is a highly experienced guide and the book is a download of his extensive knowledge. It is clearly explained and illustrated. Recommended.

Great technical manual
Bought Bruce's Alpine Mountaineering and found that very useful. Had to get the Ski Touring version for this winter's plans. Reads well, simple, useful. A great technical manual.

It really does give you the essential knowledge
A great reference book, answers so many questions about kit and technique, wish I'd come across it earlier. Not got as far as the tours at the back yet.
