Rimmel Insta Fix & Matte Powder, Translucent, 8 g

I lost my eyebrows after chemo, and despite getting them tattooed a few times I still have to draw them on, I used to be really worried about them smudging, but this product is incredible, it keeps them perfect, even in hot weather, or when I towel my face at the gym. Amazing product, I love it x

I agree with the other reviewers, it is very white but goes on translucent. This works very well to keep the shine away, only had to touch up in the afternoon. I have changed my skin care routine though after suffering for years with oily skin (now 48). I used to use a face scrub in the morning and then rub my face with the towel thinking I was giving it a good clean, apparently not, instead I was aggravating it and increasing the production of oil.My skin care routine is now;Gentle face wash in the morning, pat skin dry and use Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser followed by insta fix and matte powder.At night I use a cleanser, followed by a face scrub and a night time moisturiser.This had really worked wonders for me, I no longer have an oily film on my face an hour after applying makeup and don't have to manically blot my face all day. I can clearly see that my skin looks cleaner and fresher and I am so pleased with it. I hope this helps other people as much as it's helped me. After 35 years of misery I am finally happy with my skin!

Smells wonderful!It is actual white, not a foundation colour. But goes on translucent.It's hard when I rubbed my brush in it. Giving me hope it will last longer than my usual. And adds a photofilter effect when applied with foundation.Looks good in packagingSmells greatGoes one well. Light dabs of powder then swish on to your t zone or all over.And can be used on bare skin.Have yet to find out if it breaks me out in spots due to using only once.And we all know some Matt products (known for oily troublesome skin) can do this...I'd buy it again just for how soft my skin looks after and the smell is lush

After Urban Decay stopped producing their best selling De-Slick Mattifying Powder in white (why??) I searched in vain for a substitute. At just under £6 versus the £20 of the UD powder, I thought this was worth a try.It could literally be the same product... Same finish, ease of use and coverage. Brilliant for the money. Despite being white it goes on clear so don't be fooled! The only slight niggle is it doesn't come with the little sponge, but I saved the UD one from my last powder and use that. It also may not last just quite as long, whether that's just remembering the UD powder with rose-tinted glasses, but for the price a little quick touch up isn't an issue. Great product!

So I love this powder, it's really great. Keeps my skin matte and makeup in place even after a 12 hour shift, literally can't fault it.I have ready some reviews with people saying it makes your face white? Well I can see what they mean, but I think this only happens if you're using like way too much of it!What inspired me to actually write this review was tonight after work I decided to go for a swim. So I'd worked for 12 hours, then gone swimming without removing my makeup, I swam for about half an hour, and spent about 10 minutes of that time completely underwater. Like literally, I was practicing doing handstands and holding my breath, like a 10 year old child. I get out of the pool, expecting my face to be a disaster and cannot actually believe it, my makeup is still perfectly in place, like I hadn't been in the water at all!!If that isn't enough to prove that this product works, then I don't know what is!

This is so cheap that I can't really knock it for it's price. After using it for a while i would not use it as any form of setting power as the particles are quite large and i found they sat on top of the skin giving a white veil. Good to keep in your bag for during the day but downside with that is you have to bring an extra brush. Packaging is fine, sturdy. No smell which is good. Would probably purchase again but as a secondary powers to keep with me in the day.

Nothing to say really, this has been my go-to powder for the last 5 or so years and I will continue to stick to it. Does the trick, affordable and good quality.

After quite a lot of use not much of the product has been used. The powder is definitely translucent as I have rather tanned skin and still looks natural. Takes away grease as I hadn't washed my hair in two days and needed to quickly use a product (don't use it on your hair, it's not for that but I was in an emergency) and it managed to absorb most of the oil without leaving my hair looking white. The scent is okay a little chemically but rather florally. It's not overpowering. I had to spell it close to see if it smelt. Good value for money!
