I would recommend as a worthwhile purchase. I had set my stylus tracking weight for my Shure 97xe cartridge based on the counterweight configuration of the tonal arm on my technics SL-1210. Using this pressure gauge I found out it was tracking a little light at 1.1g as opposed to its 1.25g optimal. Nothing major but gives you the confidence that you're not going to damage your precious stylus or wear through it or the record faster.The gauge is surprisingly light and the plastics used are very thin and feel a little on the cheap side so I wouldn't say this is a premium product but does the job.It arrives with everything you need such as batteries, a 5g weight I assume for calibration and a faux leather case that smells a little "chemically" but nothing too off-putting. Simply insert the batteries, switch on and it's ready to go.

Works well. There is a lot of hype on HIFI forums about how the down force on a HIFI cartridge and that you must have electronic digital wizardry. In compared the results of this scales with a small manual analogue cantilever scales from Ortofon. This digital scale registered 1.9 grams using the same cartridge as the Ortofon scales which registered 2 grams. You don't need batteries with the Ortofon scales and you do not need to calibrate it. Oh well, digital music always has the potential to be better sound quality than vinyl, but I still enjoy a little bit of analogue charm provided the recording has not been digitally remastered.

This is a brilliant tool for the money. Having just purchased an expensive new deck I found that the user guide process of setting the counterweight to zero and then gradually rotating it together with the scale just wasn't accurate enough. This device provided a simple and far more accurate alternative. It was a piece of cake to set the tracking weight to 2gms in a matter of moments,vv with just a couple of additional turns of the counterweight. This really is an essential piece of equipment for anyone who wants to accurately set up a quality turntable. Highly recommended.

As other have all said. It does its job and it does it really well. Instructions rather straight forward and easy to use. Well packed and with a calibration weight if needed. Mine was perfect out of the box which was nice. But at least it’s there if needed. My old 1970s TT plays a lot nicer now and a bonus a lot lot less pop and crackle from it now the stylus is sitting right.

Good value, works well and includes two sets of batteries and a calibration weight. Very good.

I just bought a new AT turntable, I needed to set the tonearm to 2g, The reel, is not 100%, so I bought this product to give an accurate measurement. It was easy to set the scales up. You do need to set the scales, this is achieved using the inclosed 5g weght. Once done, I checked my tone arm and it was showing 1.78g. It did make a differnece when setting the anti-skate on the turntable. These scales saved me a lot of hassle.It is well built and I am impressed with the quailty.I do recommend these
