Perfect for running repairs, but do a test run first
The best points of this stuff is that you get a HUGE amount of vinyl to carry out repairs with in the box, and a goodly sized tube of adhesive too.........you would have to share your tub on a regular basis with a porcupine to get through all the material quickly! It is very very good stuff, and the adhesion of the glue to the patch to the hot tub is superb, but cut out a patch and test it yourself first before you go straight to the tub.........the adhesive has the ability to make the vinyl patch you cut out curl up and it suddenly become very hard to handle. The adhesive is also rather thinner than I had imagined (after repairing bike punctures for decades now!) and will almost trickle off the patch.Make sure as well that the area you’re applying the patch to is clean before you apply the adhesive covered patch and you should be good. Finally after one of our cats sank a claw through the top edge of our tub we didn’t want to drain the whole tub so I tried an experiment...........it IS possible to patch an inflatable hot tub with air still in the liner and water in place 😁

Super fiddly but the best product I’ve ever brought for fixing holes in pools!
So all products like these are super fiddly and hard to apply (at least for me they are!). This was the third product I brought to try fix multiple holes in a really cheap used 12ft steel framed pool that I brought for the dog to swim in as I didn’t want him to make holes in my pool with his claws. So having water leak a bit wasn’t a massive deal for a dog pool but then I got the pool set up it had over 20 mini holes and some larger ones so it was loosing water quickly and the repair kits I brought just we’re not working... until I tried this product after it being recommended on a Facebook group for above ground pools. I used it both whilst there was water in and also drained it to do some repairs. It defiantly works better for repairs when dry - although it’s easier to repair the inside of the liner with water in as the pressure of the water holds it down but a full pool makes it extremely difficult to repair the outside of the liner. Forgot to get any pictures of the repairs before packing it away but this product really was amazing and enabled us to have lots of fun in the garden with the dog and hopefully for many years to come. Only negative thing is I accidentally got some of the glue on my shorts and that’s never coming off so advice you to be careful not to get it on clothes

All patched up
This seems to work well.We bought a fairly sturdy Intex 6ft pool earlier this season, and we are extremely pleased with that following the spells of very warm weather.Although, I thought the Intex material for these pools was superior to the average inflatable kiddie pool and cleaned it too enthusasitcally with a crude garden brush.Four punctures were the result. The pre-supplied Intex patches were no good - they easily pealed off and/or still let air slip through. So I figured I had to pay up for a more permanent solution. Also because following a beach holiday there was a selection of punctured inflatables waiting for repair. This glue and patch set did the job quite well. It sealed all holes effectively and quick. Although I had expected more of a welded-outcome - perhaps the plastic type of our pool doesn’t allow for that. Yet the glue and the patches stick well if you apply sufficient initial pressure. And importantly, once dried up, it doesn’t let air slip out around the edges. And although I wasn’t able to get very smooth edges everywhere (there are some areas where it peeled up), a little additional glue secured it more properly. I should also say that the copious plastic patch wrong-footed me initially, as I started cutting a round patch but only found out after gluing that I had cut two patches from two thin almost glued together sheets. No instruction sheet is included but some decent instructions can be found on the packaging (full of typo’s though).Next to the the very large included transparent patch sheet, the tube of glue is quite generous; I’ve now repaired 7 patches, but if the glue doesn’t dry out, I’ll be well-supplied for the next 40 years.Haven’t tried, but apparently this works as well underwater in a filled pool. All in all quite pleased.

Works, but not pretty.
The kit comes with a huge amount of vinyl that you cut to size for your patches. I used this to repair two small punctures in my Lay-Z-Spa. I had to use quite a lot of the solvent to make it stick. As soon as you apply the solvent the patch starts curling up, and it seems impossible to apply it neatly. I applied the patch to the deflated hot tub on the outside, so I can't say if it really can be applied underwater. The finished patch looks really ugly, and has air bubbles and wrinkles, but it works, and that's the main thing. I've also used Shoe-Goo glue to repair another puncture and I would rate the Shoe Goo as a much better solution because it is neater and easier to work with. Good luck.
