Economical, strong, and functional
Easily mounted, but a very tight box.Mounting to masonary may require a backing spacer/shim due to uneven brick blocking the gap (see photo) required to reassemble the box for closure.Standard stranded #6 AWG copper is very stiff, but fits with knuckle-busting effort for closure. A better wiring choice might be to use flexible #6 copper as used for heavy-duty extension cords. The built-in grounding strap uses such flexible cable. The LED indicator is a nice idea, but impractical. In service, it's less visible flipped up atop the extension cord plug. It indiscriminately indicates power flowing in the receptical curcuit. Other indicators at the generator, itself, are obvious. In my mind, the LED serves better as a warning for the wrong breaker being enabled or a serious wiring problem when the lid is closed. It should never be lit if no generator is attached. A properly installed interlock should prevent that. As that warning, maybe it should have been red?

As described
This box is really well built and was easy to install. I am using this for a generator Inlet and the box is big enough to house all of the six gauge wires. I have had boxes before that were too cramped because of the wires but that was not the case with this one. I also liked all of the options on where I could get the wires to enter into the box. In addition it has threads around the plug so that heavy 50 amp cord is secured good. I would definitely recommend this.

Great box with 1 flaw
The product looks and works as expected. Heavy gauge metal and evidently power coated. There is a significant flaw that pretty much all these boxes have (most brands): the holes are for 3/4” conduit. If you are using 6 awg cable as per NEMA code for 50 amps, the code also requires up to 40% cable volume inside the conduit which pushes for at least 1” diameter. I ended up opening the holes to get the 1” to meet the NEMA code.Another small issue is that the wall holes don’t have a lot of spacing (flare) between the wall and the box. So, it gets tricky with uneven surfaces like brick veneer. Not a big deal but an opportunity for improvement.Other than that, great boxes!

This is a good box!
What can I say -- buying cheapo electrical fixtures is a good way to burn your house down, but this isn't some cheapo crapbox, this is actually a really nice, solid, large, ETL-listed box! Most Americans know about UL listing, but there are many other nationally recognized testing labs, and ETL is one of them. It means if you install it properly and it's not defective, it won't burn your house down. Can't say that for a lot of things that are sold online, especially when looking at things like solar disconnects, there's some real firetrap crap out there, but this is a very nice box. It's plenty spacious; wrangling 6ga wires in one of those little undersized boxes can be a real problem, but this one provides enough space for the wires to bend properly and not be cramped. The cutouts are very nice, they're not knockouts and they're especially not the fake knockouts some cheap stuff comes with, they're actually pre-drilled holes that will easily accept a 3/4" conduit. It's a good box, it's an incredible box for the price. Is it the perfect box? Of course not, I mean, ideally the inlet would be on the bottom so that the cable snugs up into a weather-protected area. And if your cable doesn't have a locking ring on it, the connection may not be as firm as you'd want, but if your cable does have that locking ring on it and threads onto the box, it's a great tight connection.

Work great
Works great, I have installed a bunch of these and never had an issue. The knock outs are already punched and come with fillers, easier than other units that need to be drilled with whole saw because they don't stamp the metal deep enough to knock out the hole.
