I love essential oils—not only for their delightful scents, but also for their medicinal qualities. Rosemary, for example, is something I try to have on hand at all times.Rosmarinus officinalis is an evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves and a woody scent. It reminds me of a cross between the smell of fresh pine and cedar. This particular brand of essential oil is much stronger smelling than others I have tried, which makes me think it is more potent. Although it is made from the herb used from cooking, this therapeutic grade oil is intended for external use only; do NOT use it internally! And always dilute it with a carrier, such as coconut oil, when applying it directly to your body.It can be used topically as a natural disinfectant. I like to use rosemary in DIY cleaning solutions around the house. It’s also great for bathing, as it kills the bacteria that cause body odors. Studies have shown it may be useful to prevent or slow hair loss due to male pattern baldness or alopecia. It also improves circulation and reduces inflammation, which makes it useful for headache and arthritis pain.Insects—including disease-spreading mosquitoes and ticks—are repelled by it, and it relieves the pain and itching caused by various kinds of bites and stings. That’s why I use it with a carrier oil along with peppermint and citronella when I go outside. This can be applied with a roller ball or sprayer.Used in a diffuser, rosemary has been reported to reduce stress, increase alertness and improve memory and cognitive function. This may make it more useful in classrooms to keep children calm but focused. It may also be helpful around Alzheimer’s patients. The scent blends well with various kinds of mint essential oil and some citrus oils.While I love this potent and beneficial oil, I was disappointed that it came in a bottle with only an eyedropper to dispense it. I much prefer a Euro dropper. Other oils I have ordered came with one of those or gave you the choice between the two in the same package. Considering how pure this oil is, I think the retail price of almost $9 for one ounce is reasonable. I have gotten this oil in other brands for less, but it was not as pure or carefully processed as this oil.

I have tried Brooklyn Botany's lip scrub. I liked it a lot. When I saw they had essential oils, I wanted to try them. I use essential oils often. I have my favorite brand.For the cost, this is a very good rosemary essential oil.What this is:This is one fluid ounce/30 ml of rosemary essential oil from Brooklyn Botany.It comes in a brown glass bottle with a glass eye dropper lid.To try it out:I haven't used rosemary oil in awhile. At first smell, this reminds me a little of tea tree oil mixed with a Fir/evergreen oil. I had to grab my favorite brand which happens to be a higher end brand of rosemary oil.At first sniff of my favorite brand, Brooklyn Botany is right on the money.Comparing the two, Brooklyn Botany is a bit more abrasive of a scent of rosemary. It is more powerful. As it sits on my skin, the Brooklyn Botany is beginning to mellow. The scent is perfect. Very close to my favorite brand at a FRACTION of the cost.5 stars:For what this essential oil cost, this is a very good essential oil. It is very close to the high end fragrance. Would I trade in my favorite brand for it? I would use this for making soaps or anything that takes a larger quantity of essential oil. This would be my first pick of essential oil for recipes that take a large quantity of essential oils.

I got 7 different oils from this company.Overall, I'm pleased with their arrival.So many are tiny ... this one is a good size .. 30mLEach one arrived in a brown plain thin cardboard box. The bottles all arrived in good condition, and the glass droppers all arrived fine as well. Only 2 of the boxes arrived damaged, and one had opened and I had to look for the bottle and dropper among the other items in the box. But even with a rough ride, nothing broke.These are brown amber bottles. They arrived with screw down black lids, the dropper is wrapped in bubble wrap, and can replace the black shipping lid. Avoid using this if left for a long time, as the oils will degrade plastics and rubber.Sourced ingredients, tested and bottled in the USA.Sourced from Hungary $8.92The brand we use can be used for cooking ... but this one does not have markings to indicated that it has be cleared for internal use.I've been sick and my sense of smell is still returning. I can't smell this one much ... just the earthy notes. This oil blends well with other oils such as Basil, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Orange, and Peppermint.

This is the very first time I’ve had rosemary as an essential oil. My go to for essential oils are for mint or citrus family. Rosemary is more for my cooking pleasure but I think this is not one that can be ingested. I am not very sure so I will probably browse through all the other reviews to see if anyone has any opinion about adding to food. Anyways, I love the smell of rosemary but the actual plant’s scent is way much stronger than this oil. I thought oil extracted from the plant would be much more potent but I feel this is not (or I am simply used to the plant itself. The il is not runny and seems of good quality. Compared to some olls that seem too diluted, this one is not. It has the consistency of oil structure - thick (though not as thick as I want it to be in essential oil), slow moving, clear and gives out its specific scent right away.This product came in an amber colored bottle with a dropper. The color of the bottle is important so that the contents, especially in oils, do not become stale right away. Keeping it from as much light as possible will preserve its potency for quite a while.

The rosemary smells authentic to fresh cut rosemary. I work on a farm that grows rosemary so I know the smell very well. I have now bought a few bottles of their rosemary oil since the price is fantastic. The oil works very well with soy wax both for cold throw & hot throw. I definitely recommend the brand!
