Ive bought 3 other types/brands of this replacement (over $100.00 )ALL of them lasted a couple weeks Because the original and other replacements ALWAYS came with the Stupid plastic Pin/Clips that hold the Blades in. :( and I've looked Everywhere for those clips and there nowhere to be found Not even on RYBOI's site or Home Depot... So just got this setup with Steal Bolts/Nuts to hold Blades. Rating is missing Durability Stars tell Ive had a chance to work it some then I'll get back on how good they do :)Last Point is the Price ! It was less than Half What home Depot wanted for the piece alone. But this also came with 8 pre-filled string In case I want or need to go that route.. I'll be Back if it falls apart or breaks on First run or First few runs etc.

The spring spools are great. The blades on the other hand are a little thin and break easily. You just have to be careful when using the blades. Well worth the price.

I really wanted something to get rid of weeds and not having to cut them with garden scissors. I was so excited. I have a 18v Ryobi trimmer. It fits fine but not even two weeds and the blades broke. I give them a 3 because it does come with a lot of things for the price but no good quality on the blades. I actually bought the ones with better reviews.

I just opened my replacement heads of string. The string is melted together and doesn’t feed when using. When manually pulled out the string it immediately breaks off when used. Unfortunately I missed the return window so I’m not able to return. So be warned that this is a waste of money!

Really like my other Ryobi tools, but the auto-feed feature on their weedeaters is bad design. Who needs more line every single time they stop?Needed this for the hundreds of oak seedlings that pop up amongst other plantings after big acorn years. Perfect! Way more effective than string, powers through woody stems on low setting, with less noise and vibration! [take note of counterbalance weight during installation] *New discovery!: add 12-14 softair BBs into unit before snapping into place. They'll redistribute and self-balance, lessening vibration.Metal grommet reinforced hole is a plus vs other models, and blades showed minimal wear after use. Installed one upside-down to compare performance; no difference, so I'll simply flip them both over to extend lifespan once dulled.Spools were as good if not better than OEM, but I doubt I'll go back to string. (They do lock in okay to bypass the autofeed.) Bought others for comparison, but these blades won the day!

The quality and performance of these all work really great. The serrated blades are super tough and easy to handle small jobs where your mower may not get to.
