I ordered this knife holder with the intention of using it in a travel trailer RV. I was concerned that the knives might not be secure enough to stay put while the trailer was in motion, but I liked the overall design and look. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me, due to it being incompatible with some of my knives. Most of my knives are forged, with blade thicknesses that taper from the handle to the tip. What I found with this knife block was that the thickness of the forged blades prevented them from sliding into the slots. The steak knives I had worked fine with it, as did a smaller boning knife (also forged, but with a slimmer blade, overall), but neither of my chef knives would work. They are both Henckel, one having a 6” blade and the other, an 8” blade. This would probably work fine with kitchen knives that are stamped or otherwise have a uniform thickness from handle to tip. The four star rating reflects a nice build quality and design, but points off for not being able to accommodate a variety of knives.

I've had a few traditional angled knife blocks, but wasn't totally happy with how much counter space they take up. This guy is perfect, it let me move the knife block up against my backsplash freeing up precious counter space. Plus the bamboo gives a nice modern and clean look!

My parents have small kitchen and I've been looking for items to help with the clutter and free up some space. This item was perfect, as it was easy to install on the wall, the wood quality was really good and aesthetically speaking, it looks pretty good in their kitchen. My parents are happy with the knife organizer and i'm just happy they find it useful! Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to de-clutter their counter tops and looking for a solid product.

Product is high quality. Unlike other knife holders, I like how this holds the blade upwards, so it doesn't dull my knives.

This block is quite large (about 9" x 12"and will not easily fit on the side of a kitchen cabinet - even without using the steak knife side, handles would protrude in front of the cabinet. Check your intended spacing carefully - return shipping would eliminate >80% of the return value.

NOT A KNIFE SET. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU. THIS STUPID THING IS ONLY A KNIFE HOLDER - NOTHING ABOUT WHICH KNIFE SET WILL ACTUALLY FIT IT. GREAT PIECE OF FIREWOOD FOR $14. MY BAD - I CLEARLY DIDN'T READ CAREFULLY - BUT WHO THE PHUQUE ORDERS A KNIFE HOLDER WITHOUT THE STUPID KNIVES?

Excellent quality but it's so heavy it's hard to find a good spot to hang without putting giant anchors in the wall.
