This is a great rc car. However the charger started on fire right in front of me as I was charging a battery. If I had not been sitting at my computer desk at the time and noticed this could have been a very very bad situation! Just imagine.. You help your child plug in the battery after fun time is over and you burn your entire home and family to the ground. So now what? Do I accept a replacement charger from the seller? Real big if on that one.

The truck was fun the first time my boy used it. Quite fast and seemed like a good beginner's r/c car. Unfortunately, the very next day, we popped in a new battery and went to a local park to drive on the grass/dirt. The truck stopped running after 5 minutes. The front wheels still turn but the motor just makes a humming noise now and doesn't turn. Perhaps I was just unlucky.*UPDATE* The seller has kindly offered to work with me to figure out the problem and/or send a replacement. At least you can buy this knowing that there is someone out there willing to help. Like I said, the truck itself is a blast to drive and seems to be a good deal if you get one that works. I may have just received a bad unit.

I bought this for my sons birthday gift. I did a lot of research and this one fit all of the requirements that I was looking for but when I opened the box it was missing a piece of the hood clamp and the body of the truck was messed up. My son didn't even get to play with it because I am going to return it. Too bad.

This car was purchased on September 7th. The steering no longer works. We contacted both the seller and Smart Guard, as we paid for the warranty. Neither bothered to contact me or my wife. It's the same old story -- "We'll do everything we can to suck you into buying it but don't bother to contact us if it breaks!"

This was a gift for our grandson. We just learned that the two battery packs that came with the car were bad. They thought there was something wrong with the car so they brought to a hobby shop and said the car itself is ok, but that the two battery packs were bad. Unfortunately, I did not learn of this until recently so the window to return this car is closed. All we would like are two new battery packs for this car. My grandson likes the car, but it is useless with working battery packs.

My son drove it around the backyard twice. We plugged it in to charge it and it no longer works. I boxed it up to return it, but missed my window. Very disappointing.

Not worth the money. So cheaply made! It went fast when it worked for the first 5 minutes out of the box but then it just made a loud buzzing noise and wouldn't go! We even traded out the battery and it did the same thing. Returning! The top part is plastic like a solo cup plastic and held on by clips like paper clips! Very disappointing especially for the price.
