Natural hair girly approve
I saw a lot of natural girlies on TikTok promoting this product. After losing my hair to cancer and now it growing back a different texture and curly pattern. I find that this product really brings out my curls. Smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft and hydrated. 10/10 highly recommend.

Strongly perfumed and works really well.
Works great on my short natural hair - nice waves. Gave it to my friend because it has a lovely perfumed scent that was too strong for me. I thought I was buying an unscented product . Definitely purchase again if the there is an unscented version.

Personal opinion
I really like this product. It worked really well on my hair. Controls fix, keeps your hair soft. I just feel it wasn’t worth the money. Other products do the same thing for a fraction of the price.

Single truly only works towards a specific range of curls.
The product is good if you know what to expect and want the specific curl pattern that it forms. If you have naturally curly hair, you may not recognize yourself in the mirror with the results. THIS PRODUCT FLATTENED MY NATURALLY CURLY HAIR. My guess from my own experience in combination with other review pictures is that it is formulated to push hair of most textures and curl patterns towards a specific curl size from both ends of the spectrum. The result is successful only within a certain (bear with me as a scientist mind) phase shift/range with respect to that curvature, and will also obviously depend on what curl size you want/expected.I have natural pencil sized curls and was looking for a simple gel to reinforce that pattern with a combination of moisturizing + some light holding. This product retextures your hair(you can smell the chemical that does this when you wear it) to a very specific curl size- one that I do not prefer since it does not reinforce my hair’s natural curl texture. In this sense it is a catch-all curl product that as I mentioned pushed all textures to what I would describe as large, loose bounce-type curls unnatural to most hair types.I was somewhat disappointed with the product, which is a solid white cream, because I was looking to replace a particular Mielle loose gel product that was discontinued- a clear, very fragrant type of gel that simply kept my natural curl pattern, moisturized and held with even some heat damage protection, as I was living in Florida. This product in my opinion is mislabeled as a gel. This product completely retextures any hair that isn’t loose bounce curls, and even leaves some damage. I used it once for a retwist and was very disappointed, almost upset. I even suffered some damage because of the forced texture over my preferred natural texture.Again, if you know what this is in terms of composition and the single curl size (forced) result, you can perhaps use it to achieve something similarly specific. Or if it suits your natural texture, very loose curls or strait hair to curls, then this product may be for you. I would still use caution with the “gel” label, as most gels I have used do not retexture your hair completely, wash out easily and are for daily styling/ finishing. To summarize, this product does not work with curly textures progressively. It instead induces a single curl type that i would guess most people don’t actually prefer. Other products work with your hair to reinforce and normalize your normal texture with no damage.

Best gel with no flakes or stickiness
I was skeptical due to comments and such so I got the smaller size. It’s actually amazing. It works so well with my hair and even though it’s a softer gel, it holds really well. My curls were so defined and plump as well and my hair looked very moisturized. I used this along with the matching leave in conditioner and detangle and then style. Perfect combo! Will be buying full size once these run out. There’s a kit in there so it’s a good amount for your money and I like to use a lot of product so that’s saying a lot. It’s not sticky or tacky at all to me. Works well when you use water and your hair is drenched.

Will be my new go-to curl gel!
I randomly bought this travel size just to take for a work trip to see how it’d go. I have mostly 3b/3c curls (with hints of 4a underneath) and am constantly fighting frizz. This pic is from the end of a long day FOUR DAYS AFTER, I repeat FOUR DAYS AFTER, my wash and style day! I wish I took a pic when it was fresh because the frizz was nowhere with us. I barely had to touch up my hair in the mornings which is wild considering my hair is bleached and slightly heat damaged. I used it after using the pattern curl cream and every curl was coated by using a very little amount of product. My hair stayed so moisturized and there was no crunch or little white dusting/flaking. Although, it hasn’t been tested in the humid Houston air or on one of our many rainy days, so I’ll update later on that. But good stuff so far!

The best curls I have ever had!
OMG, thank you Tracee Ellis Ross for your hair care products.OK, so, I am a white women with naturally coarse, curly hair prone to frizz. I have never found a hair care product that gives my curls definition and yet leaves my hair baby soft. I have always envied the beautiful soft curls I see on some folks. Now I have beautiful curls with no frizz and so soft.I tried this product to just see if it was as advertised. It is and more.I will now be buying Tracee's other oroducts. So excited.
