Flash Java Kit Camping and Backpacking Stove Cooking System

Let me start off by saying I really love this product. I'm currently serving in the armed services. We go out to the field a lot and I am extremely reliant on coffee. I also hate being forced to eat meal ready to eat(MRE) all the time. With the jetboil I can cook top ramen or really anything that's a boil away. I've actually cooked MRE's in it as well making them a bit more bearable. But the big thing is I have to have coffee in the morning and with the attachable cup and French press attachment I am set for coffee anytime anywhere. Her are a few pros and cons:Pros: cook anywhere coffee anywhere. The boiler has a sleeve that tells me when it's hot. It doesn't burn me. It's extremely protable small and durable. I honestly have too many to list.Cons: washing out coffee grinds the auto lighter gave out after a while and I had to use a lighter.I would recommend this to anyone it's such a great product.

This cooking system rocks.It cooks very fast and is very compact. The canister that fits inside is good for anywhere from 20-25 good boils. Bought the java system but have not really had a chance to use it. I have made loose leaf tea with it and does an acceptable job of straining the leaves . It will bring 16oz of water to a boil within 4 min or less.Works great as a one pot cooking system. Have made many of soups in this. The more H2O you have the better. Probably would work great for dehydrated meals.The flame is kinda of adjustable, but you have to watch it for boil overs when cooking in it. The flame works best when it is full blast.

The product is excellent but I read the reviews on the coffee press and viewed all the you tube videos and was warned that the coffee press left nasty coffee grounds in your brewed coffee. I bought the flash with the coffee press anyway because I thought that maybe people just needed to press the plunger more slowly to eliminate the residual coffee grounds. I got the jetboil and tried the coffee press. It was a disaster as it left lots of coffee ground sludge in my second cup of coffee. THEN I notices that the coffee screen could be screwed to the plunger either right side up OR upside down. I had installed it with the little slits facing up. This is totally wrong as this is what lets the coffee grounds through. When you install the press filter correctly with the writing up and the slits down, the press works well and no grounds escape into your brewed coffee. I'll bet this was the error that caused all of the criticism of the jetboil coffee press. Jetboil people, please put an informative note in your product to avoid further unhappiness with the coffee press. With this corrective warning everything will be great.

Likes: it boils FAST! Making meals and coffee while backpacking or on family vacations in and around the hotel is so simple and stress free. Don't limit your use of this to just backpacking.Dislikes:. It didn't come with a pot support. I didn't realize that.It didn't come with the fuel. I didn't realize that.The coffee press allows a little of the grinds past.On the third use during a camping trip, the koozie around the vessel caught fire and slowly melted a 2 square inch section by the handle and I almost didn't catch it in time. The koozie was not out of place or anything. When you light it, turn it one time 360 degrees to check for koozie light. Hahaha. None of these dislikes are worth deducting from my rating. This thing rocks.

this boils water very quickly. It packs very compact and weighs very little. If I had to make a gripe it would be that the flames control valve is finikey. Its not a precise control of the flame. Opening the valve you would expect the flame to get bigger but instead flame goes up and down and you have to fiddel with it to get the flame size where you want it. Its still useable but it would have been 5 stars if the flame control would have been more precise. This may just be a problem with mine. Im not sure. Is it worth what I paid for it? I feel it may be a little overpriced but Im keeping it.

Took this elk hunting. Backpacked several miles into the mountains and camped for 4 days. Had to carry all my gear. This is light weight and works great. Small fuel bottle fits inside with other parts. Great for taking on hunts away from camp as well it’s compact and weight make it perfect. Boils water quickly even at 11K feet.

Quality product. You get what you pay for. French press coffee every day, hot toddies at night, boiling water for our dehydrated meals for 3 adults in 9 days of the wilderness. Full proof start, stable footing (even on a questionable surface). The JET BOIL has a great feature of a colored indicator on the container (easy to see) to show the true boiling point. So happy we had this compact and reliable product.

We took this with us to a multi day bike event. Heats water incredibly fast. I saw some reviews mentioned the insulation burns but you only need to keep it properly positioned. The press is ok. We have seen others use a small sieve to pur the coffee and have added this to our kit.Also, I'm surprised how long the small fuel tank lasts.

Abzocke. Das Set ist mit 140€ total überteuert, denn es ist weder Kaffee noch Gas dabei für die Rücksendung muß man das Porto selbst tragen. Das ist absolut unverständlich da die Produktbeschreibung sehr wage ist und die Bilder irreführend sind.

Great for camping or hiking but did not come with the coffee so photo is misleading.

Arrived faster than estimated time - it as pictured as coffee is not included.Update -Despite always cloth drying the inside of the cup has began to rush rather badly making it unusable.Save your well earned cash and steer well clear.
