great piece of kit
This Universal Audio Volt 1 USB recording interface is absolutely killer for anyone wanting pro-level sound without turning their desk into a cable nightmare—just plug it into your Mac/PC/iPad, and boom, you’re rocking classic UA mic preamp tone with its vintage 610 tube emulation and crystal-clear 24‑bit/192 kHz converters with built in gain and volume control. It’s built like a brick—solid knobs, sturdy chassis, zero wiggle in the connections—and even throws in MIDI I/O, phantom power, zero-latency monitoring and direct-drive headphone output . Plus you get a sweet CargoCult of software—LUNA, Ableton Live Lite, Melodyne, Marshall/Ampeg amps, and more—so you can start recording legendary-sounding vocals, guitars, or podcast episodes right out of the box . For under $150, it’s the gold standard for solo creators—no bull, just massive studio tone in a sleek little package. Easy to use and setup, practically plug and play.

Good interface
This is an excellent interface. Totally worth the money. I feel that this interface works with a lot of laptops and computers.

Great Audio Device
So, be warned, it's very basic. It comes with a few knobs, but it doesn't have a ton of control ability from what I've seen. It does have phantom power for even the heaviest duty mic.

Great build for an interface under 200$!
I got the Volt 1 (no comp), and I’m very satisfied with it so far! It pairs perfectly with my DT 770’s and sounds great! It’s nice and compact in one unit so it doesn’t take up too much space either. The knobs are feel great, and recording quality is definitely up there. The vintage mode is a nice touch too! Definitely worth the price range for this product!

Got this for my switch from USB yeti to a shure XLR mic.
Everything worked fairly well. This is coming from someone who's never owned a USB audio interface box like this so keep that in mind. I was a little disappointed in the lack of software control for the device. I expected there to be some basic adjustments I could have made in UA's software/driver suite and I didn't really see it. Also I needed my gain absolutely blasted for it to even work on steam, that was frustrating. Beyond that, I like the look of it and I like the analog controls. Maybe with different software or additional hardware it'd be what I expected, but as I said, I'm new to audio gear like this.

Interfaz universal

I have become a Universal Audio fan!
First, the packaging is as fine as it gets - a beautiful gift box inside with excellent product protection. It was a joy to unpack.More importantly, the audio interface works instantly - plug and play. I have not recorded through it yet, but based on other reviews I have high hopes.I HAVE been mixing down with the interface and I find the signal to be very clear and revealing. For whatever reason the stereo perception seems excellent, which to me is critical for pristine mixes.I'm going to hazard that it's the best interface in the price range and by far when factoring the included free software. I need to update my computer and DAW to take advantage of the software, but if you are wondering if this interface will work with an older system: I have a Late 2012 Mac Mini running Catalina. The interface was recognized upon plugging in and works great!I highly recommend and I an sure if/when I upgrade again it will be to another UA interface.(I'ma submit some product ideas to the company too because I have no intention of getting into the manufacturing business and their are some deficits in clever, affordable out gear these days.)

very good quality
excellent sound. perfect for practice in the house, and you can do better things with less money using pluggins. For me it does not have high lattency, I'm using a MacBook Pro M1 2021 and runs without problem any stand alone pluggin.
