Core Skills Language Arts Grade 5

This workbook is very helpful for my son's language arts study. It includes parts of speech, vocabulary and usage, sentences, writing, mechanics and research skills. It is designed to help children master core language skills, writing skills, and research skills they will need to excel in all academic areas and increase test scores. Each lesson is presented in a Rule-Example-Practice format to encourage independent learning. Ample practice allows children to apply what they've learned and helps them achieve mastery of grade-level skills. The content was selected to cover a range of topics aligned to the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards for grade 5 and other important language and writing skills. He is now probably the top language student in his class. In the Beestar online tests (a wonderful website beestar.org), he is ranked high in the honor roll. I’m very pleased with this book.

Decent content but needs assesments or quizzes after each lesson

Very good content.. so far my son is liking it.
