Conjuring, The: The Devil Made Me Do It (BD) [Blu-ray]

This movie had me clutching my imaginary Rosary beads, literally!!! I think the Warrens might just be my favorite couple duo ever. The production was phenomenal! Acting superb! It had just the right amount of sound effects, jump scares, and out-of-this-world contortionist moves. You wanna watch a good horror film, this is the one!!!

Love watching scary movies!

The first Conjuring, in my opinion, was one of the most well done and creepy films in the horror / paranormal genre. It sets the standard for how I compare similar films. I would place the Conjuring 3 in front of Conjuring 2 in terms of entertainment, though overall the film was a disappointment. There are few spooky scenes, nothing that made me jump, and the film felt unnecessarily long for being so devoid of suspense.The story loosely follows the book about the possession of young, David Glatzel. A New England family is tormented by an unknown entity that preys on their youngest son. Naturally, the Warrens are brought in to offer help. In a move of compassion, David's older sister's boyfriend (Arne) challenges the demon that has possessed David, and it subsequently begins to possess him. Arne eventually commits a murder while in an oppressed state, leading to his arrest and the first American trial where a "not guilty, by reason of demonic possession" plea is entered.It's not a terrible film by any means, but it definitely is far off from the original.
