Setup was fairly easy

This is for the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO. First let me say that I have had setup issues in the past with UniFi and their computer server software. This time I was pleasantly supply at how smooth (overall) the process went. I hooked up three of these units and as long as you connect them one at a time, the process, though slow, works very well. Once connected you have to wait for the install and update of each device. Then I renamed them based on location. In the past hooking them up was a much bigger pain. For those that have not used UniFi before, do a little reading, as the software is not straightforward for applying settings, and you have to really read everything. Also unless you are wanting more than one unit stay away from these, there are easier units to work with if you are not tech savy. Performance: EXCELLENT! We have had issues with wireless due to the amount of wireless devices required for this location, so far (6 weeks) these have been working great. I have noticed they jumped around on the channels and seem to have found a decent comprise and no complaints from the users anymore about poor signal, or the signal not jumping from one AP to the next.

Nice cloud interface.

Replaced my old industrial CIsco AP with this one. Works great. Fully automated cloud management.

Flawless after two years outside in midwest weather

We downsized back in 2021 and ended up with a detached garage roughly 60 feet from the main house. I debated burying cable from the house to the garage but after reading some reviews decided to give this a shot. I can't say enough how well this has worked out.I ran a cable from my first floor home office along the side of the house to the back and installed the access point about 8-9' up and under an overhang. It has worked flawlessly for two years through hard rain and freezing cold. I spent weekends in the garage working on our cars and motorcycles with the door closed and heat on and never lost a signal. Never. I stream games and music the entire time. Even have a Google Home to keep in touch with others in the house.I strongly recommend this product. It's well worth the cost.

At last, I got a good network at home

If you are anything like me, you never wanted to spend above $100 for home networking, both wired and wirless combined.I've tried a slew of different brands across the years, LinkSys, Buffalo, TP-Link, D-Link to name a few, and let's not forget the supplied ISP router/modems.Had to restart routers countless times to solve connection issues, most of those issues were WiFi, a few where wired. That's just to say, I've spent many hundreds of $ just to be frustrated. That's why I was skeptical of what feels like fandom for Ubiquiti and the UniFi brand. After setting up my network with UniFi (UAC-AC-PRO $142; USG $132; US-8-150W $192), this is the most expensive network I've setup for myself by far (at least x3 I've ever thought I'll spend), so this has better be GOOD. Good enough will not cut it.It is PERFECT!The single UAP-AC-PRO provides complete (and consostent) coverage to my 2700sqft single story home, even though it's located in a corner of the house and not the center (I am planning to move it though, to allow better signal in the back yard).Since the installation I did not need to restart the system, except for the occasionall firmware upgrades. It took some time to get used to the way control is handled, I installed my controller on as a Home-Assitant add-on.But now it makes so much sense.I cannot recomment this one enough. As for the price? I think that once you sum up the equipment you've bought along the years, when you compare it to this - the Ubiquiti will outlast any of these combined.

Access point

It works as an access point. Setup was a little bit of work. Then the speed is okay.

Gold standard in home / small business Wireless Access Points

I work for an IT company and have done quite a few wireless deployments with a few different setups (Watchguard, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Meraki), in terms of a home, small business or even medium business setup, Ubiquiti is a no brainer. Their equipment just works, it works well and gives you plenty of options to do your configurations however you want, their equipment works together extremely well with excellent logging / information to help you hone your setup if you know what the options do. They provide excellent documentation on their site to help you delve further in on their products and they come out with new offerings at a blistering pace. The Ubiquiti AC Pro is one of the hallmark Access Points, they have some others but honestly I wouldn't waste time with anything lower then this, it's just too good for the price difference. I've deployed hundreds of these and am never disappointed, I use them in my own house and my own mother's house. I don't think for the price that anything even comes close, naturally if money is no object there is better stuff out there but at this price point, without the subscription fees, these things are gold.

Works great, replaced a Unifi AP

When I ordered it through Amazon, I received a unit with a board revision of 31, so new-ish. The install was a snap, and I think that I could have used the existing bracket from the old Unifi AP but I liked the new one better. I switched the port on my Unifi switch to 802.11af PoE instead of the passive PoE that the old AP used and it started right up when I plugged it in. Performance and reliability is in line with what I expected from Ubiquiti. It's used in a home with about 40 devices connected, likely over-powered for my needs, in conjunction with a Unifi AC LR. Coverage is excellent and I'm very happy with the device and will soon forget that it even exists since it's so reliable.I've added a photo of the unit mounted in the ceiling of my closet. The LED ring is kind of bright but that can be turned off in the controller if it would be bothersome.
