Seems to work well
This product is exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't get it locally at even a plumbing supply house. So far it has worked great. No gurgling in the drain and more importantly no back up because of the increased air supply.

Oatey meets plumbing code.
Oatey 39225 is rated 6 DUF, and will vent a 2" drain pipe. The vent installs on tubular drain pipes located under sink. Must be installed after the trap, and must be at least 2 pipe diameters away from the trap weir (the last bend in the trap where the water in the trap ends). You can use this vent for 3 piece bathroom... including tub (or shower), and double sink ... but 6 DUF is not rated for both shower and bath, or 2 baths, and is not rated for a toilet. For toilet or washing machine or two bathtubs, then 20 DUF is required. To meet code, the home requires at least 1 roof vent size 3-4" that terminates in open air above the home, usually 6" above the roof.Oatey 39225 must be installed in vertical position to vent properly.Contrast Oatey with the 1-1/2" black vents available at hardware. The black vents have convienient 1-1/2" pipe thread, but are not code. Black vents are rated 1 DUF suitable for 1 sink, they fail frequently, and they stick in open position when they fail (letting sewer gas into home).Oatey vents meet code since Oatey vents stick in closed position after failure... and do not let sewer gas into home. The 39225 vent is 1-1/2" straight thread (not pipe thread), and is not compatible with pipe thread like the Oatey 20 DUF models that have 2" pipe thread.Oatey sure vents must be open to air under the sink and cannot be sealed inside a wall.If vent is placed inside a wall, then a louver must be added to let air enter vent. The 39225 meets code by placing the vent air opening 4" above top of vertical drain line. You need 6" headroom for installing 39225. So measure from top of drain pipe... and if you have 6+" clearance between top of drain pipe and under-side of sink, then Oatey 39225 will fit.The 6 DUF vent is attached to the tubular drain with provided washer and standard tubular nut.Resource: http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-install-vent-under-sink.html

I bought the Oatey with the pipe only because the size is correct for the sure-vent.
I bought the Oatey with the pipe only because the size is correct for the sure-vent. I may use the pipe at some point. The Oatey sure-vent works, so I just removed it from the pipe and used it on my previously installed plumbing. The piping is too thin for my house installation.Good vendor. shipped as promised.

Util y Practica.
Recomendado ampliamente

Your sink will drain with a vengeance
If your drain is slow, and gurgles at the end, that's a sure sign your drain needs better venting. This will make that drain, well drain, like nobody's business. However, you will probably need some more plastic drain pieces. You're adding about 6" of pipe length under there, and the drain trap only has so much range of adjustment. One of my drain connections was directly behind the sink pipe, and pointed right at it. So I had to get a 45 degree elbow to angle it off the the side, and a 90 degree elbow to connect to the trap. Every situation is different. In another case, the roughout had a 1.25" connection, which was fine, since the trap etc are 1.25" BUT this kit is 1.5" which is standard for kitchen sinks. Bathroom sinks are 1.25" but typically are adapted immediately to 1.5", so chances are this kit will work fine. But in my case, where it was all 1.25" I had to get "creative" to adapt both ends of this kit to 1.25" So, if you've never worked with sink drains, this is not for beginners.
