ITS AN ADD ON!
It says it on the box. You need the router first this is an add on. Don't be a jeff and order the add on thinking its a router. I've bought the add on, now I need the router. If I bought the set I would have saved 30 quid. My wife enjoyed telling me. FML

Please just read!!!
Absolutely fantastic system and shame I didn’t invest in this soonerI have an old and large Edwardian house. Solid brick throughout, with that comes WiFi which is useless beyond the living room… (this doesnt cater for modern living or family living beyond a couple)So firstly I did a bit of research and purchased a Netgear extender. It worded ok and my WiFi improved, but I wanted better.I threw money at a Netgear nighthawk system.Even better I tell you.But still at this point it was still only covering about 60 percent of the house.Out of the blue when Eero released the Pro 6 router system, I assume - as they were getting rid of the pro 5, I picked that up for the bargain price of £40, once set up the single unit out performed the previous setups for many reasonsSimplicity, ease and general performanceIn recent days treated myself to the pro 6 extenders which are backwards compatible to the 5 series I have.Upon receiving the first extender I got WiFi to about 70 percent of the house. Absolutely perfectBut I thought I won’t stop there.Ordered a second the following day and have WiFi across 95 percent of the house and part of my gardenAs a resultI’m content as are the kidsFor what is an investment about 170 collectively I have near perfect wifi around my houseNo longer am I having to allow allow the kids to hotspot off my phone because thier bedrooms are miles away. For context whilst I now say 95 percent of my house is covered. This is in effect would be well over 100 for most peoples housesFor contextMy home, although 1 room wide it goes go back 6 rooms deep. With 11 foot ceiling so again appreciate the scale for why this review I feel is importantGround floorLiving room (router location)Dinnig roomSmall boot room rear property accessKitchenUtilityDownstairs cloak room bathroomIt replicates room wise upstairs foot print wiseFirst floorBedroom (extender location 1)Bedroom 2Office (extender location 2) above boot roomBathroomThen a top floor second floorbedroom and bathroom to which I still get perfect wifi covering the footprint of the 2 below bedroomsThe only location I’m yet to get WiFi is the downstairs far cloak room bathroom. This just doesn’t bother anyone but given stairwell location and property layout has 4 brick walls and a stud wall to get through.Yes I can buy another extender and no doubt it will work and cover this small location but I do not see it as a inconvenience in order to do soI have 100+ MBS downloads throughout the house on my key locations. With that it coversFamily tablet useSmart TVsConsolesPhonesBlink cameras and doorbells (multiple)So yes I do recommend this system for all manner of reasonsHad I took the punt and bought the systems whilst not on offer would I be happy with the result. Yes… but I’m delighted with how much I got the system forbuying it in bits and to my requirements.Honestly you will be set up in minutes and have your wifi dead spots cleared in no timeWhilst my living space is vast. I appreciate not many have a house like me, but this simply for context that my step up covers such a large area, brick built houseMaybe those with newer built properties wouldn’t even need the expense I’ve paid so farI hope these comments, experiences and POV help make your job that little bit easier if it comes to them buying your first WiFi network extension.

Quality item
Brilliant piece of kit! At last I can enjoy internet streaming without buffering or dropping out. If your ISP router doesn’t give you full coverage across your house this is the answer. Very impressed

All good
I have a virgin hub which has lousy range. I live in a two bed flat and it doesn't even reach the other bedroom. As for the back garden, forget it. I bought just the router hoping that alone would be enough and I wouldn't need to pay extra for a second expander. It was enough. I have 2 of 3 bars in the bedroom now, and 1-2 in the back. Good enough. Was easy to set up after a bit of messing at first. It was saying it couldn't find the internet (probably because my modem was still getting its act together after being switched off and back on), I kept tapping try again with no luck. Only when I quit the app altogether and started from scratch did it connect properly. It's been on a couple of days now and all is well. Connecting my desktop to the ehternet as a wired connection works well too.

Excellent WiFi
I bought these to extend an eero gateway router from my broadband provider. I have wired ethernet in another room, so was able to plug in the router and it connected perfectly to the gateway router. All of the devices were quick to connect to each other and have been very stable with excellent WiFi coverage. I didn't need one of the extenders, but the package deal was so cheap to add another eero I just got it and connected it.The App works well - I can see what devices are connected to each eero and the speed test function is easy to run.One minor issue was a visit I had from an engineer when I had a problem with my house broadband speed. He couldn't connect to the eero to test the connection speed as only I could access it via my mobile phone. I just did it and he could see the speed. Not really a problem.Overall, a good buy and very simple.

Not fit for purpose
Yesterday I had 4 hours trying to get my eero 6 to work. Approximately 2 hours on the telephone to the customer support line. They are very frustrating with lots of combinations of: turn off the router, the ONT, delete and reinstall the app, delete all your details in the app, lots of waiting for rebooting. It was clear that no one understood how to deal with PPPoE security and how the app deals with it. Information I found on the internet of eero 6 and PPPoE was out-of-date and wrong. After 4 hours yesterday, I got up to see that I had no internet. So, another 2 1/2 hours this morning. The help provided by eero is very poor: there seems to be a strong assumption that everything will work 1st time and therefore problem solving seems to involve in: reboot, delete & reinstall etc. After a large number of tries this morning it sudden started to work and I got internet. I don't know why.I had 6gb of mobile data when I started the installation of eero 6 and I have used that up. Mobile data is crucial since the app won't work without it and without the app you can't set up the router.Had I known what this product involved I would never have purchased it. I will wait until the end of today to decide whether to return it.The experience of trying to install the eero 6 has been very stressful and I would say that it is well worth avoiding that level of stress.I have read times been asked to read out the serial number on the eero 6. The print is very small and I can't read it. My son could just about read it but he noted ambiguous symbols (O / 0 and 1 / I /l). It is a very long number to keep reading out to support staff.
