Great card! Needed specifically x4 10Gbps card when I found this. Likely my go to for 10G ports in all future builds (this, and 10GTek dac cables).Highly recommend! Will buy again when I build my next replacement system for the lab.

I purchased this 10Gb NIC to upgrade the Ethernet connectivity of my HomeServer.Windows 10 Pro did not initially pick up a functioning driver, so I downloaded the drivers directly from TrendNet.Even after that, my UniFi Dream Machine Pro, using an SFP+ 10Gb transceiver, wouldn't auto-negotiate a 10G link with this card, instead falling back to 1Gb. I found that manually setting the switch port on the UDM-Pro to 10Gb Full-Duplex did the trick, though. Since installation and setup this card has been smooth sailing.Overall I'd say this card is a decent value. It gets the job done without much fuss. Would buy again.

TL;DR: This rebranded Marvell (nee Aquantia) AQN-100 works perfectly on Windows, and runs cool in even airflow-starved cases. (I do recommend updating to latest firmware and drivers from Marvell after purchasing, and power cycling hardware on both ends of the SFP+ link after the firmware update.)There are few "consumer" options for new SFP+ NICs, so I usually buy used enterprise NICs instead (e.g., Mellanox ConnectX-3/ConnectX-4). Those are reasonably cheap and work well on both Windows and Linux. However, the cards tend to be physically larger and to run hot. Not so bad in a server or workstation, but I recently needed a 10G NIC for a small micro-ATX build with low airflow (case fan curve optimized for silence in a living room). This card ended up fitting the bill perfectly (and I couldn't actually find anything comparable that's still readily available).The latest revision of this card (v2.0R) uses an Aquantia chipset, so that's what I'll be reviewing. It's actually just a rebranded version of the (discontinued) Aquantia AQN-100 "reference" card. (Compare the photos I attached to pictures of the AQN-100 online, and you'll see that other than a slightly larger heatsink on the TRENDnet card, the PCBs and components are identical.)The driver posted on TRENDnet's site is quite old, but knowing that it's just an AQN-100, you can download newer drivers and firmware from Marvell (who acquired Aquantia a few years back). Updating to the latest firmware went fine, but note that you may need to both restart the computer where the NIC is installed and reinsert (or power cycle) the SFP transceiver at the remote (switch) end, as the firmware update seems to leave the SFP+ link in a bad state until both ends are restarted.Performance with latest drivers and firmware is quite good, sustaining ~9.48 GBps in single-stream iPerf3 over many hours (Windows 10 with a Ryzen 3600). Equally importantly for my use case, the card runs with minimal heat. There doesn't seem to be an onboard temperature sensor, but the heatsink is cool to the touch, and informal examinations with an IR thermometer reveal no noticeable hotspots (whereas a Mellanox card I tried got quite hot in the same case).

No need to spends hundreds of $ to get stable 10Gbps. This adapter does the job flawlessly. iperf3 gives me a the full 10Gbps duplex with near zero CPU usage.
