Rowenta DW8193U5 Iron, Standard, Red

I've ordered and returned several irons in the past two months, and decided to try this iron, which said like new condition. Received iron earlier than expected, added water, and got to ironing. Great steam, hot and the BEST thing, so far, no water leakage. Two Thumbs up!

I bought my first Rowenta iron 2018. I don't iron my clothes. I have only own cheap irons. I started quilting in 2017 and suddenly needed a good iron! I bought a Rowenta and still use it. I'm moving the first Rowenta iron to my quilting group. I bought this new iron for my quilting at home. I love that it is heavy, heats up immediately, 300 holes to spray out the hot steam. I've learned not to fill up with water. I use 1/2 cup at a time. It helps to prevent spitting. The only thing that does bother me, it doesn't have an off button. I have learned to deal with that one thing. I always unplug my iron when I finished for the day. I'm a happy quilter. Happy ironning!

Great iron

Sight glass hard to read

My 20+ year old Rowenta is dying. I needed a replacement. Gets really hot, the steam is very nice (a lot of it.) Cord is nice and long. It might be a bit heavy for some. It doesn't bother me. It glides easily across fabric making it easy to use.

Broke after 2 months. Used only a few times

Makes the job of ironing quicker and easier so you can get on to something fun.

I have owned Rowenta irons for years and this is another great one! The 1800 watts of power makes ironing easy!
