Conosco bene il prodotto, l'ho già utilizzato in altre occasioni. In pratica, insieme al suo "fratello" MC111CS, permette la realizzazione di un'efficientissima rete Fast Ethernet su un'unica fibra ottica monomodale 9/125. Qual è il vantaggio rispetto un analogo sistema via cavo ethernet? La possibilità di trasferire il segnale a distanze enormi. Con il cavo di rete non si possono superare i 100 metri di linea, con questi apparecchietti invece, si possono fare anche parecchi chilometri senza attenuazioni di segnale.
