Great coverage all over my property
Excellent coverage for my 3 acres. I don’t have many trees and the ground is flat, so getting coverage was easy. I mounted it under the eave of my house and I get full WiFi 350 feet away. I also have a wood shed almost at the back of my property and I still get 2 out of 3 bars while inside the shed. Installation was easy also, it comes with the mounting plate and template.

Great AP, but needs PoE+ adapter
Great AP, but requires 30W PoE+ adapter. Ubiquiti DreamRouter only supports original PoE.

Great access point
Bought the long range as one of the cameras outside was not getting a good signal. After setting this up, the camera is now working properly. This has a good range, easy to setup and only installed one in the middle of the 2500 sq ft house. Able to handle all (~45) devices. No problem encountered even when ~30 guests were connected to the access point.

Works great, Covers my 2k SqFt house fully.
Works well. Install was easy. Dont forget to pick up a POE Injector because it definitely does not come with one. I think my biggest gripe is having to use the software to get it going. MongoDB is the bane of my existence at this point in time. It is expensive but it allows me to have WIFI 6 throughout my entire house with only one AP.DO NOT throw away the little L shaped metal piece. If you need to get it off the wall again you will need it. There is a small slit on the right side (Mine is on the wall, your mileage may very).

Ubiquiti Customer Service Fails to Respond
We have two of this product, the long range access point, and six of the pro versions at our facility. For the most part they have worked well for over a year until a recent firmware release. After the new firmware was installed all of our security cameras fail to connect to these access points. (We are able to get the cameras to connect to other access points, and because of this we may simply have to replace all of the Ubiquiti access points.) We reached out to Ubiquiti back on 06-18-2024 for guidance, after a bit of back and forth messaging they requested lots of details. Once we got them all the details they needed, they sent us a message, on 06-27-2024, that they would have an expert review and get back to us. Since then we have heard nothing. We inquired with them again back on 07-05-2024 for an update...still nothing...not even a response that they are still looking into the issue...simply nothing. Also note that back on 06-18-2024 we requested they have a tech guide us with troubleshooting steps over the phone. They let us know that they do not offer phone support...only messaging back and forth, which has proven to be slow at best early in the process and now completely ineffective.

Be very careful to check your equipment specs
I used this to upgrade and replace a UAP-AC-LR because I couldn’t locate another UAP-AC-LR and didn’t want something with reduced range. This was plugged into an typical UniFi 60w 8 port POE switch. But apparently the U6 draws more power than the switch can provide to a single line. Specs say 16.5W max draw which doesn’t seem like it would be an issue, but it is, though it seems to work fine. I keep getting errors in the log file that it’s not getting enough power and needs a POE+ switch or injector. The UniFi 8 port poe+ switches are about $200, good luck finding one in stock. They are still having trouble getting equipment in. The other option is to buy a single switch/injector.The unit itself hasn’t had better connectivity or performance than the old AP. So that was very disappointing. All the hassles with UniFi have me tempted to rip out all their equipment and switch over to another mfg.

Expensive Frisbee is Handy
If you're a tech dud, like me, you may struggle. Fortunately, I know many tech people who do this stuff for me.We have been struggling with our Wifi for a while, and this was recommended to me wholeheartedly to me by a trusted friend saying it would benefit. And it absolutely has! No more dropping, and the signal is strong now throughout my house!Granted, my internet is currently suffering issues due to it being a new build and the builders janked my internet box, but we have a technician coming out to fix that, so I can only expect the signal to get better! I would not recommend this to people who do not know what they're doing, because even googling this was a little bit vague.10/10, best Frisbee I've ever had.

Great and consistant signal
This Unifi 6 is great. You will need a bluetooth connection to set it up properly and it does need to be connected to a network in order to set up. This is a PoE unit so you will need a PoE power supply. Downloaded the app on my phone to install name and password. The app talks about a Ubiquity Console so you need to choose "setting up a different unit" and then you will see the AP chioce. This is a wifi 6 unit and the range is amazing. I will be installing 2 more of these units in the near future.
