No.. the adapters as you call them are sold apart.. It comes with an blade holder usually a sample for a smaller blade. The holders are also sold separately.. It's well worth the money. I got my Dovo some time ago with a pack of excellent blades and I haven't spent another cent since... That was almost a year and change ago. The Green holds the Personna Blade and most big blades.. That's the one you want bra..

There is the standard red holder and a longer black holder

Q: second question what brand should i buy blades from

I know Voshkod or Personna. But, I would suggest just trying different brands and find out which blades works better for your type of skin and hair.
