Replaced the E130, Better in every way.
I had the E130 iteration of this and it died after about 4 years. This one is even better, has the exact same fit so it was easy to swap out, same hardware, gasket and everything. It has built in wi-fi so you can access it from anywhere which is much more convenient than having to use bluetooth. This one comes with a removable rechargeable battery which was better than having to use your own, a full charge lasted a little over a month. It was a tiny bit more expensive than the prior version, but with all the QoL upgrades, it's well justified. Eufy makes a great product here, and whenever this one gives up the ghost I will replace it with the next version, no brainer.

Best Camera on the market
Eufy really puts quality into either devices. I'm very critical about technology and Eufy checks all of my boxes. From picture quality, connectivity, price, and features Eufy has them and they are top notch. I like the installation process and locking mechanism. I'm not using any other devices besides Eufy.

Works like a dream, cant live without it!
I swear i wrote a review for this already, but i guess not! This smart lock is a dream. It works flawlessly. We are in California. My husband uses the fingerprint sensor everyday. No key to get out of your pocket, hassle with the lock. You just tap your finger and you are in your home! He initially grunted when I wanted to get it "things we dont need". I got it anyway, installed it myself, and now he absolutely loves it. đđ€© I wanted to get this product because we have a cleaner who needs access at times and i already have Eufy products and love them so this actually works with thr video doorbell and the battery life is amazing. Its rechargeable USB-C. It senses when the door closes and auto locks immediately. We love this smart door lock.

Great Smart Lock, But Donât Rely on Auto-Lock
Switched to this after my August lock gave me endless connection issues. Wi-Fi barely worked, so remote unlocking was a no-goâI had to add people as guests in the app instead, which was super annoying.First off, this Eufy lock actually stays connected, which is already a massive improvement. But if auto-locking is a dealbreaker for you, be warned. Unlike August, which used a door sensor to lock perfectly every time, Eufy relies on some âgeomagneticâ detection (whatever that means). Most of the time, it works fine, but if you close the door too softly, sometimes it just doesnât lock. The auto-lock timer in the app is also unpredictableâitâll lock sometimes, but other times, it stays unlocked all night. No clue why.The keypad is a little too sensitiveâespecially in cold weather, where it sometimes double-presses numbers. The fingerprint scanner is fast, but if you donât place your finger just right, it might take two tries. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. One annoying issueâsometimes the lock wonât disengage. If your door bolt is pressed too firmly against the frame, it throws an error, and you have to pull or push the door a little before unlocking.Battery life? Itâs fine. Cool that itâs rechargeable, but you canât just swap the batteriesâyou have to wait for them to charge. Would be great if Eufy included a second battery for easy swaps.Bottom line: If youâre used to smart home automation and expect flawless auto-locking every single time, this might not be for you. But if you just want a solid, stylish smart lock with great remote access and connectivity, this does the job.

Eufy... the good and bad.
Man, what a let down. Some major disadvantages from this unit over the previous one. But one pro - the keys can now be duplicated. The previous model had keys that could not so if you lost one (they used to supply 5), you were out of luck. This updated model includes 2 keys you can then duplicate wherever -- bad thing -- it can't be re-keyed so if using as a rental and you give your key as a backup in case of failure, there's no way to re-key the lock after they leave. The other cons:- Integrated battery "pack" defeats the need to replace AA batteries like before but the bad news is that you can't simply replace the batteries and be done. Instead, you will need to remove the battery pack, charge it, then reinstall. Charging takes several hours. I suppose you could buy additional battery packs but, one step forward, two steps back.- The door lock does not lock automatically very well. I thought it was a defective unit at first so I exchanged it. New unit is the same as before. Previous model would lock well, no issues. This one for whatever reason, doesn't detect the door being closed as good as the previous model. I am constantly having to lock the door manually (in-person) or in app. One time, I didn't pay attention and found the door had been unlocked overnight. Yes, I've tried re-calibrating, resetting, updating firmware, etc. It just doesn't do it well. Maybe a firmware update will address this in the future but this is super concerning. Closing the door behind you and assuming it'll lock automatically is just not a thing anymore (I miss the older version of the lock as it just worked well.). Already contacted Eufy about this and didn't get anywhere.- Battery life is horrible. I do not have a high traffic spot at all and battery drain is bad. Having to recharge the battery so often at this point is just not good. So, stuck with using the keys until this is (hopefully) addressed in a firmware update.I'm researching other locks with better reliability as I just can't justify having this installed and feel comfortable that it's doing what it should. I was such a fan of the older model with the weird keys because it just worked. The AA batteries in those units would drain fast as well which makes me think Eufy just hasn't perfected their devices. That older model worked well for about 2 years and then started eating up the high priced lithium batteries in about a month. At $20+ for a pack of 4 lithium "super" batteries from brand name suppliers and replacing every 4-6 weeks just wasn't feasible.Sadly, I'm returning this and switching to a different brand.

ALWAYS RELIABLE
This my third purchase of this (item first was for personal use, the second for my mother-in-law's home, the third will be for my sister-in-law's home). This is a great product that's easy to install. All my cameras and electronics I c locks are from Eufy. Very reliable.
