Seamless USB Expansion for Desktop Setups!
This PCI-E expansion card has been a fantastic addition to my desktop. Installation was straightforward, and it was recognized immediately by my system without the need for additional drivers. The combination of 2 USB-C and 5 USB-A ports offers versatile connectivity options, accommodating a range of devices from external drives to peripherals. Data transfer speeds are consistent and fast, matching the performance of my motherboard's native USB 3.0 ports. Overall, it's a reliable and efficient solution for expanding USB capabilities.

Very Happy
Simple to install, used mfg websight to down load latest software, after that it has worked flawless. Very happy.

Works great if your case has the space!
I was glad I read the reviews regarding checking the space available prior to installation. Mine arrived quickly, installed with ease and works fine for my needs. Check your PC case first to be sure that this card will give you the clearance it requires. The vertically oriented ports probably won’t work for most smaller office-type PCs.There are plenty of reviews with pictures here that illustrate this caveat.

Great value and usability for the money
Good. Does what it’s supposed to. My only qualm with it is that over time with extended use (ie plugging things in and out) the ports can get a little picky but that’s because I normally use it for a driving simulator, which doesn’t stay plugged in all the time. However, I’ve gotten it for family and friends and it’s well worth the $40. Having 5 extra ports + a usbc is well worth it, and it only takes up one little pcie port.4/5 just because of the port finnickiness - but a normal person wouldn’t care about this. I’m just particular

Weak signal when using long cables
I have a desktop server that I wanted to add some USB ports to my server rack on my keystone panel. I needed about 3-5 USB ports for this on the back end of the server. This product seemed to fit the description. Setup was simple, the server runs Linux and it recognized it just fine.I purchased some 6ft USB A to USB A cables from Cable Matters (pretty reputable manufacturer). All 5 cables plugged in. These went from the PCI-E card to the keystone panel and that panel had a double sided female USB A coupler. Nothing fancy, just whatever I bought on Amazon. I tested out with my SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD thumb drive. It gets power, the light came on but the server didn't recognize it as being connected. I checked logs to verify all this.- I started troubleshooting. I first checked the USB Drive. I plugged it directly into the PCI-E card, and it works.- I then checked to see if maybe it was the coupler, or the cable. I started testing with different USB A cables. I tried a different 2 meter cable (didn't work), a 1 meter cable (didn't work) and the finally when I tried an 8 inch cable it worked. So I thought maybe its the cable.- I plugged the original Cable Matters USB A cable into the front of the server with the coupler and it worked.I have come to the conclusion that the card will only work with shorter cables. Longer cables still provide power but it doesn't seem that data is able to be transferred.Pretty disappointed

It just works
These days, you never know for sure if what you get is what you're hoping for.Item was packaged very well. Arrived quickly and was undamaged.Instructions mention installing drivers (CD included) for older versions of Windows such as 8, 7 and even XP. For windows 10 it stated that drivers would be loaded automatically. There was no mention of Windows 11, which is what I'm running (Dec 2024), but it works great with no fuss. Literally plug-n-play.The only thing to consider is that with the USB-A slots being vertically-oriented, and the PCIe slots on a typical PC being narrow, some USB devices may be too wide to use with this card.

Lack of necessary power output, and much slower speeds than MOBO
TL;DR: Since acquiring the expansion card on Oct 25, 2022, it has not been used frequently due to more convenient ports available. Recently, experiencing issues with power when multiple devices are connected to the expansion card. Transfer speeds with a portable SSD were below expected levels, especially with USB-C ports delivering slower speeds than USB-A ports on the same card. Not recommended for heavy usage or power-demanding devices.I have had this since Oct 25, 2022, and notably have not used this too often as i have other, more convenient ports. But over time I do use these occasionally, and have recently decided to use it more often for my more permanent cables(none of them stay plugged in forever). Occasionally my keyboard(with LEDs) will just flash its lights for a millisecond, and then turn off again, indicating a power issue. In hindsight this was always when I used this expansion card with multiple things plugged in. After recently getting a portable SSD for certain files, I noticed that my transfer speeds were not even close to what I am supposed to be receiving, and tried changing cabled and ports. The USB-C ports were giving me around 31MB/s of read, and a bit higher for write speeds on my SSD, and that same SSD, plugged into the USB-A ports on the same expansion card, the speeds went up around 2.5x. Quite the opposite of what it should be imo(with the whole USB-C being slower than the USB-A). Would probably not recommend this as I have seen similar expansion cards with the same ports, for cheaper (if the performance is the same then the cheaper is obviously better). Only useful for lightweight items, so don't try an external monitor without external power. Would have liked at least an option to add additional power to the card, as its advertised as not needing any, yet it badly does. Also something to note is that things are a tight fit when plugging them in. This is potentially due to my case, however that's my experience.
