Study material
Product is excellent in helping prepare for my anatomy classes. The only issue is that the skeleton leans forward a bit and does not stand completely straight. This item coupled with a couple of anatomy books makes understanding a bit easier. Seeing is believing.

BUSTED
The media could not be loaded. What number do you think this is, D23? No, D13. The scribe's handwriting is so difficult to read, they make mistakes copying their own work. All the little handwriting peculiarities on this model are identical to the handwriting on the $350 model sold by “another company”. Another coincidence: the ligaments are identical to the cheaper model, even in their manufacturing imperfections. The bones: identical. What do you get for more than twice the cost? A moveable neck.PROS for this model vs. their cheaper one: the neck flexes sagittally and laterally (both models rotate). The rest of the spinal movement is very disappointing (see video).CONS for this model vs. their cheaper one: The lumbar spine is flat. The lumbar posture is worse in this model than the cheaper model.INACCURACIES:1. The lumbar spine has zero extension except at L1/2. You cannot demonstrate proper posture. You cannot show how lumbar extension is good for disc health.2. The pelvis is tilted anterior 30 degrees, making it appear the pelvic organs sit on the pubic ramus not the pelvic floor. The upper sacrum is almost horizontal.3. The thoracic spine has zero rotation except at T10/11, so you can’t show how the thorax works.4. Ankles do not plantarflex.5. Erector spinae markings are all missing. RCPmin is labeled as splenius capitus.6. At least 3 other clinically significant smaller muscles are omitted.Other problems:1. With the exception of the shoulder, moveable parts feel like they are just waiting to break with use, especially the fingers and toes, which arrived badly bent. The coxofemoral (hip) joints are very difficult to externally rotate.2. The skull cap screw arrived badly bent because the packaging was made for the cheaper model which has stronger metal.3. Extra plastic scratched me from bone molds that they didn’t sand off (much better sanded than their $350 model, though)4. They forgot to include the muscle posters and the muscle key in my kit. It’s okay, I got them with the cheaper model.5. The red “disc herniation” fell off after a week.Bottom line: 3/5 stars for lack of effort. I do not want this model because it demonstrates poor lumbar posture. The description of this spine should include its limitations. I'm not saying I know how to manufacture this better, but at least be honest about such an expensive product and put some time into accurate, thorough muscle labels. To be fair, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was great. I lost a couple screws and they fed-exed them to me, free of charge. Understand, I could have been a lot harder on you, but I'll spare you that because of the customer service. Good luck with the scribe. I'll learn to use whiteout to correct their mistakes on the cheaper model.

Good skeleton for the price
This is a pretty decent skeleton for the money. I am a physical therapist, and I use it frequently for patient education. The flexible spine is nice to have to show postural changes and affects on facet joints. The ligamentous side is not flexible at all, but it is nice to be able to show primary ligaments. We haven't had any major issues with it so far.

Worth the price.
For the price, it is a great product. Joints are movable, good quality, sturdy. Really don’t have anything bad to say about the product. A must have for any medical student!!!

This is a wonderful skeleton. The flexible spine is amazing for teaching students movement. The joints with ligaments are really stiff and cause the joint to barely move, but the rest of it is amazing.
