I purchased this kit to facilitate the replacement of an attic fan. There was no switch (it was hooked to a thermostat) and I was unsure which breaker controlled the circuit. I used this meter to ensure the correct breaker was flipped before I started working on the wiring, and it did a perfect job. I worked with full confidence that I was not working with live wires.We also have some miswired outlets in our house, and the plug part of the kit was able to easily determine which outlets were faulty so they could be replaced correctly. Great for finding electric in an outlet, wiring or your Christmas lights. Has many uses and was a good price. Have used many times already and works perfect every time. Bought it just to check strings of Christmas lights but have put it to many other uses.

This is my second Non-Contact Voltage Tester and there is no comparison between the two. The first worked well but was a real challenge to change batteries. This one on the other hand is easy to change batteries helping to insure you remove the batteries when it is not being used so they don't leak. I think it is also easier to operate but not sure because I tossed the other for no longer working after the batteries leaked.The other I purchased because of the brand name thinking it had to be the best. This time I purchased the product because of design and found to my surprise it was so much superior.You also get the receptacle checker with the voltage checker and that is a nice bonus.

It appears accurate, and will help me with mapping the electrical boxes in my house. I would recommend the set for new homeowners.
