I grew up sharpening kitchen knives on the raw underside of saucers and plates. Worked great and is the same principle here. Only gripe is the difficulty to hold the stone when sharpening something large or irregular in shape. Otherwise it works okay and does sharpen as expected.

Works well.

Just sharpened my axe and hatchet. These pucks come with a rougher side to start with and then a finer side to finish with. After about 4 or 5 minutes on each one, these baby's are super sharp. Easy to hold and works perfectly.

I have ended up with several pocket knives and eventually all have become ineffectual at opening myamazon packages, boxes at work etc so I watched a YouTube video and this has worked well. Might be overkill for some but a 2 pk for me means one in the house and perhaps one in the car.

I found these axe pucks and ordered them. They arrived with in 2 days and both are nice easy to use and put a quick edge on my camp axe.
