The stones are of poor quality ware out very quickly leaving lots of residue behind. Screws are poor quality they don't fastener very well

I purchased this after seeing videos of this and other similar systems as I needed something to sharpen my kitchen knives with while maintaing correct bevel angles (I'm useless at judging them by eye alone)As for the setup and overall use, it's great. Very easy to put together and take apart, easy to store away and using the system is pretty much idiot proof.However, there are things about the build of the system that really should have been rectified by now. Firstly, I was already aware of the fact that part of the blade clamp is stamped out of a piece of metal and as such is prone to not being the correct angle. I have seen tips on how to correct this so that was something I could already get out the way, along with swapping the thumb bolt to keep the sharpening arm angle fixed with one of the Allen key bolts for a more secure hold.Now, the main problem which is blindingly obvious yet somehow still seems to have missed production checks. The three hex screws that are used to tighten and loosen the blade clamp are countersink bolts, however the plate they screw into do not have countersunk holes. This means the heads of the bolts stick up from the clamp plate resulting in them getting in the way of the sharpening/honing stones/strop if sharpening a blade with a very sharp edge (10-15 degrees). This is extremely basic and obvious as day so no excuse as to why it hadn't been corrected. This means I either have to get the holes counter sunk, or find flad head screws of the correct diameter to replace them with for a more flush fit.These are the main reasons I've only given this 3 stars, because they are something that should have been spotted and thought of during production and can be corrected without extra cost or time

All good as far as home delivery is concerned. tool easy to assemble and use.Unfortunately the vice of this device that holds the knife blade still does not work well, it does not hold the blade well centered, so the result will be that on one side the blade edge will be inclined at 15 degrees and on the other at 17. The knife cuts well equally but it does not work well. Too bad because everything else works well. I don't recommend buying this tool.

Poor quality, nothing is staying fix , the stones are dropping down, I broken 2 of the stones, is not sharpening well, I already throw it. Waste of money DO NOT BUY

Although I have always sharpened with stones and achieved good results this is a game changer. Once angle is set progressing through finer stones is easy . Most importantly the results are stunning.

I have used a few fixed angled sharpeners now, and this is now my favourite, the angle remains firmly fixed, and the quick knife rotation is simple and game changing. Team this with some great Bacher stones and a digital angle finder and your knives will have a mirror finished razer edge in no time at all. The only reason for dropping 1 star is the stones supplied are not the best, hence the recommendation for the Bacher stones.
