Great product
Love this machine. It works great shaves the ice very fine and no issues. Just turn and it works. You can use regular ice which makes it nice. Definitely a summer buy

Love it! But bowl was shattered
I tried the ice shaver out as soon as I got it. Took all items out. Realized the bowl was shattered but the rest was fine. It worked great. The ice is so fine. This is great for a person who loves to eat ice. It is loud but I assume cause it is shaving the ice. All in all this is a good investment.

Works well and seems a decent price but appears cheaply made so I have no idea as to it's lifespan.
Bucket does not leak. Rotating tin ice cream cylinder bends easily. Hand crank is cheaply made. Motor seems to work well but seems a little flimsy. Longevity is a concern. It does a good job of making ice cream and the price seems fair so I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

It works better than expected.
This is not a high end ice cream maker, but for the money it works better than I expected and has some nice features. Initially it seemed that most of the parts that came with the freezer were lightweight and cheaply made. I like the fact that it comes with an electric motor AND manual crank. The wooden tub is substantial and everything fits well. But the bottom line question is - does it make good homemade ice cream? The answer is - it really does! Our family has made ice cream for years but when the last maker wore out, we didn’t want to drop $300-500 for the top of the line. I’m happy with purchase and hoping it lasts our family for several years.

Works great!
It’s amazing how rich homemade ice cream is. Every recipe we have tried makes about a quart of ice cream but a little goes a long way. It’s wild.As far as the machine goes- it’s easy to set up, I love how it stops when the ice cream is finished churning- except for the last time we used it, all the ice cream was stuck to the paddle going round and round for way longer than usual but afterwards we realized that we forgot to put the metal tub into the freezer ahead to f time so that was user error.Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go.I recommend using it outside or in a good sized sink because a lot of condensation builds up on the outside and the bucket itself is not watertight. Salty water cleanup isn’t difficult, just so much easier to let it leak out over something other than your kitchen counters (and onto the floor if you aren’t paying attention)We haven’t tried the hand crank, but it looks nice and solid.

Missed the window to return
Purchased this to make ice cream with a big group of kids but after reading the instructions, I learned that it would take hours to cure the wood from leaking; outcome was that we didn't get to use it right out the box or during the camp we had planned for. Yet finally got to try it with another program on 8/22.Sadly after getting everything ready to mix, we connected the motor and the motor didn't turn the mixing blade. The motor was working, but wouldn't turn the blade. We went for the hand crank...cranked on it for about an hour and it never was able to get the mix to ice cream. Reread everything to make sure it wasn't a user error, but after a second attempt same issues. So cute look, and I was hoping the old fashioned look but the electronic function would be a great way to get the best of both worlds. Epic fail and now I have a useless machine.Luckily I have a Cuisinart machine that is so easy to use and makes the best ice cream (though only 2 qts, not as much as we had hoped from this 6 qt machine)

Great machine!
We make the yummiest ice cream in this and I like the option to turn it manually.
