Tough decision vs. Novation or Akai, but feel this was a solid choice.. not disappointed in the least
I would like to add some long-term observations about this keyboard, but will wait until I have a few more weeks of hands-on time. This is my first "mini" MIDI keyboard, as my other is an 88-key Yamaha. The form factor of the 25 key layout was the primary need. After several weeks of use, I can report this unit has been rock solid. From the first time moment I connected via an USB3 port, it neatly integrated with FL Studio, and has worked without a hitch. Here are a few of my thoughts:Pros:- Pads are nice, and seem to respond to velocity with aggressive tapping- Session control buttons: loop, play, record, stop are positioned perfectly over center of keyboard, and make using the DAW a dream- Keys have decent tactile feelCons:- Minor nitpick, but it seems the touch sensitivity could be re-calibrated.. I find myself banging on the keys at times :)- No other issues.. I really enjoy using this keyboardOverall I feel that I made the right choice going this route over the Akai or Novation Launchkey

Nice little keyboard
Terrific little keyboard. Fun to play with, keys have a good feel, easy to program. It is small, so take that into account if you want something with more keys. Started right up with Ableton and Reaper after being configured first time.

Great!!!!!
This is a fantastic machine!!!!!! It automaticly maps with almost evey DAW(even unpopular ones) and it has a great feel to the keys. The pads are a little hard to work with and terrible to record with because of the super sensitive velocity control, but the sensitivity is nice for the keys. As far as build, it's not the greatest, it feels very cheap, but it's hard to drop because of bulk, and it only weighs 4 pounds. So definitely great for a portable recording/jamming keyboard.

According to their customer support, "The Oxygen 25 is a class-compliant device, so it requires no driver for Windows 8. Plug and play!". However, I've yet to get it to work with any music software. It simply doesn't show up.[Edit] As a follow-up, I've finally gotten it to at least register in Mixcraft, though it still won't actually do anything. The only reason I've made it this far is because of the awesome people at Mixcraft customer support, who have pretty much been walking me through getting this resolved non-stop. Guess how many responses I've received from M-Audio's customer support. Zero. Zee-ro. 0. Will absolutely never purchase another M-Audio device.[New Edit] I eventually got it working, and have been using it for about 2 months now. So far it's doing everything it's supposed to do, so I've changed my review from a 1-star to a 5-star to reflect the quality of the device rather than the quality of their customer service. If you find yourself facing a similar issue, just make sure your device is on, go into your Device Manager, and select "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers". You should see the Oxygen-25 listed with a yellow exclamation point to the left of it. Just right-click Oxygen-25 and select "update drivers". That should fix it.

This midi controller was great in my opinion
This midi controller was great in my opinion. It is important to note that I really only use the keyboard function of this midi controller, and that each person has a "feel" that they prefer from their keys. I would recommend trying it out in a store first to be sure that it matches your preferred feel/action. Outside of that, the product has been great. No issues to report.

This is a great midi controller for song writers and musicians!!!
I have had to rely on midi-controllers for music production for 5 years. Not only can this device allow me to create live drum tracks, but it allows me to add other instrumentation that is not available. It is easy to use, and very easy to create great music!

Great Keyboard, breaks easily.
Over the past 3 years I have owned 3 of these keyboards. The first I had no problems with but it was the 25-key version and I sold it to upgrade to the 49-key version. Over the next year this keyboard developed an issue with sticking keys. Figuring I had simply gotten a dud so bought the 61-key version to replace it. This keyboard ALSO has an issue where keys sometimes stick. My next keyboard will be from someone else.
