What can I say, I love all of Kathryn Otoshi's books! There is an uplifting message woven into each of them, but there is something truly special about Beautiful Hands. It is wonderfully interactive with gorgeous illustrations that include a butterfly, dragon and a bird that has become known at schools across the country as the Spirit Bird. Each colorful design within its pages was created from the handprints of Bret and his family, Kathryn and their friends. The book draws children in with the question of "What Will Your Beautiful Hands Do Today?" If you have heard the poignant behind-the-scenes story of the making of this book, you will know that it is even more beautiful because it is the late Bret Baumgarten's legacy to his young children. I gave Beautiful Hands to our friends' daughter for her 5th birthday. Weeks later her mother later told me that there is something very special about this book. Out of all her toys, and her daughter has many, she chose to take this book to school for her first Show and Tell.

Beautiful artwork made by beautiful hands! We love the authors book "One" and are very pleased with this one as well. While there is not really a story line in this book the images are beautifully imaginative and the messages are thoughtful and caring. Good for younger children who like vibrant images and don't need lots of words.

Beautiful, I love the colors and at work. Great to look at with a sense of wonder. Sometimes it seems as if it was not hand prints with how elaborate they are.
