This book is an easy read, and is well organized into four chapters. You will begin your journey with the basics of the language, after which, you will receive an introduction to Polish grammar, conversational phrases, and finally, a quite extensive vocabulary list. The book contains exercises along the way, which you can study and complete at your own pace. If you are truly a beginner interested in learning the Polish language, I can easily recommend this book as a good place to start your journey.

This is a decently laid out book. I feel as if it would be easier to help learn if more pronunciations were given per word. It felt more like a dictionary minus pronunciation guides. I will be spending more time studying this to help me learn more of the words.

This book is instrumental in helping to learn Polish. I also recommend getting the audio book to help here the pronunciation of the words as well.

Since I'm planning a trip to Poland later this year, I ordered this book. Since I lived in and studied Slovak for two years, I thought a book without a CD would be easy. It's not. The book is well written, but it would be SO much more valuable if we could hear the sounds. If I planned to just read various signs, this might work. But I will need to understand verbal language and speak aloud, so the sounds of Polish are critical.

This guide has no frills - all texts and plenty of space to write. It combines all the necessary phrases, verbs, and words for those who need to learn Polish quickly. It's an all-in-one guide, so you don't need other books while completing this guide. Additionally, everything is in English which makes it beginner-friendly.I try to complete a few pages a day on my commute to work to brush up on my Polish. I recommend this guide for beginners who don't have a lot of free time and need a comprehensive book to practice writing.I have some other Polish books that require a Polish teacher to explain exercises, which can be a bit frustrating without a teacher. This guide is exactly what I need day to day to keep practicing without giving up.

Polish for Beginners is a great resource for anybody just getting started on their journey to learning Polish :) What I really love about this book, in particular, is the simplicity of it. While other books overwhelm you with grammar and tense structure right off the bat, this book keeps thing SIMPLE and gives you all the tools, vocabulary, and simple phrases to help you start reading, comprehending, and speaking Polish. The Polish language can be very intimidating and overwhelming at first for many, but with this book, you'll be well on your way in no time :)

What stood out to me about this book is how it keeps saying things like "this book won't teach you about X because it will just confuse you and kill your motivation".Well, I bought this book to learn things, so throw it at me. This is my fourth foreign language, I know it won't be simple or easy.The font in the book is huge, it's double spaced, and 80% of it is vocabulary lists. It's a whole lot of nothing. It's rife with formatting errors and typos as well.Waste of money.

Easy and quick purchase. No problem my husband give up on it but book is really good.

So, I have the advantage of having a Polish partner who is sitting with me every night and helping me with the pronunciations of each word.If you do not have this advantage, this book is quite hard to get each word to sound how it should. It's very well laid out, but doesn't exactly help you to understand how each word should sound.I would reccomend using this along side an app to help with pronunciation! Or even some free YouTube videos.Other than this, it is a great first step into learning the language.

Everything is broken down into easy to learn segments an it is in no way over complicated.What I liked most is that, being broken down into parts reviewing phrases is so much easierAlso, it starts with the alphabet which is also explained...something most language books overlook!
