This does the job as long as you understand you will need to apply more adhesion. The magnets are not strong but you can easily use command strips to lock into place. Would recommend to anyone who has these fans to keep cool and warm air in the house!

Good service by the seller but this product is a let down. For the price you get a flimsy piece of plastic to cover your fan. Once you see it in real life its a bit of an eye sore in your kitchen.

As you can see in photos there is a gap and I actually had to put scotch tape on to hold flat. This is most inconvenient as It is my kitchen exhaust & I cook all the time. This after having to glue the magnets on the back. UGH cheap junk.I have bought this item a number of time over the years (used to be from Thermwell) and from Frost King.My goodness how cheap, thin and warped this product had become. Useless magnets which, while you get two extras, fall off immediately. You actually have to take the time to glue them on. They are also smaller and thinner than they used to be. When you finally do this & try to put it up it is so warped it does not fit properly as some of the round edges don't lay flat.I did not read the reviews as I did buy this item years ago from them right here on Amazon and was very happy with it. Read the reviews...some reviewers who have 8" kitchen fans have some great advice regarding these fans.

Poor quality product

For the price, I can't complain. This item is very flimsy and does not come with any means to secure it to the fan opening. That said, I tried putting tape on each corner that of course eventually came loose. I ended up hot gluing four magnets purchased from Home Depot to each area of contact. That does secure the cover well to the metal fan housing.Enter issue number two. Even with the magnets holding the cover in place it still does not block the incoming air from the fan vents. These covers have a void in the back that allows for air to enter the kitchen area. I bought some batting from a fabric store. I cut it to fit the opening and built the padding up enough to cause compression when the cover is attached. Fits like a glove and keeps the air out.I'm pretty good at figuring these things out. there are other customers that purchase items like this and can find themselves at a loss about how to adapt the item to make it work. It would be nice for the manufacturer to include either the material or suggestions to assist the purchaser on how to attain a good seal.Personally, I would buy the item again if necessary. This is because it does do the intended job when modified. On a side note the items necessary to modify it did not break the bank.
