Excellent 1x2 Splitter. Must have for dual display purposes. 4k and 1080p SIMULTANEOUS support!
The media could not be loaded. First off I would like to praise the quality of this spitter. The body is made of a strong aluminum casing and it has a brushed steel look to it. It is absolutely beautiful. The weight of it is also very light but still heavier than the plastic models that other sellers offer. This definitely removes any doubt you may have of the product lasing a long time or if you are concerned at all about the built quality.Next, I will cover the installation of this product and what I have used it for. I needed this product to have my Playstation 4 Pro to connect to my 4k TV (where I play 100% of the time) AND my 1080p tv which I use primarily for my PC. The reason I wanted to split this to my 1080p TV is that using the Playstation Remote Play on my 1080p TV via PC always has connectivity issues such as dropped frames, extreme lagging and usually disconnection which ruins the gameplay experience and also my streaming experience for my viewers. Now that I have the Playstation 4 Pro connected to my 4k tv via HDMI out 1 AND my 1080p tv via HDMI out 2, I can now stream and work on my PC with the PS4 minus the PS4 Remote Play app on PC. This also uses fewer resources on my PC and putting less stress on my CPU. Now there is virtually no lag since there is a direct connection to the PS4 Pro.I think this splitter is amazing and was a bit skeptical of the quality it would produce but there is absolutely no quality loss and it does indeed push out 4k and 1080p signals simultaneously. You can even shut off one out signal and have the other out signal running to whichever TV you want via the EDID switches. I have never used EDID switches before and it was interesting to see how they work but that's because I'm probably just late to the party lol. There is a user manual that comes with the purchase and it makes it incredibly easy to install it and set up according to your own preferences. You do not have to be tech savvy to install this.It worked exactly as I imagined it to work and I couldn't be happier with this product. I recommend this product to any streamer as opposed to tech-heads that have multiple displays. Thank you Koopman for this product and the attention to detail you have put into quality products like this. It made my life that much easier. 🤓🙏

Great value for 18 Gbps capable splitter
This Koopman-branded 1x2 HDMI splitter delivers good performance at 18gbps when given a high quality signal.Device is very compact and enclosed in a durable aluminum case. The device does appear more sensitive to incoming signal quality. KabelDirect HDMI cables worked great (known high quality 18 Gbps-capable cable) where as a Monoprice UHD cable delivered a heavy shower of sparkles. With a good quality source output and good cable, you should have no problems, but YMMV. Switching resolutions seems to also require a power cycle at times to re-establish a clear signal, however my signal chain is rather complex.Another limitation is the lack of Audio Return Channel (ARC) support. If you don’t use ARC, this isn’t a concern; however, it may be a dealbreaker for some. This splitter uses dip switch based EDID management, with 4 preconfigured modes. Fortunately, the 4 modes cover most common uses of this device (e.g. clone one display EDID to both outputs, downscale one output to 1080p, mix display capabilities (with a least common denominator approach), and finally, a mode that ignores display EDID, allowing max video and audio formats to be output to both outputs.Overall, it’s a great 18 Gbps capable splitter with a few limitations. Make sure to pair it with high quality cables. Overall, I was successful in using it to split a *high quality* 4K signal to 2 LG TVs of different generations, but your mileage may vary with lower quality signals/marginal cables.

Great little 4K HDMI splitter / downscaler
Ambilight ProjectParts ListAmazon 4K Fire TV StickKoopman 4K HDMI Splitter and Downscaler to 1080PHDMI 1080P to CVBS Downscaler (NTSC/PAL)USB Capture Device (NTSC/PAL)Raspberry Pi (Raspbian / Hyperion)Arduino UNO - WS2812B FastLED codeWS2812B 60 Led/M5V 10A Power SupplyThis was a great little project to put together and the key piece was the Koopman 4K HDMI splitter with downscaling. The Koopman splitter/downscaler was 1/2 price of the only other options out there and it works great! It was the key piece of the puzzle to support what I was trying to accomplish (Dynamic Ambient TV Lighting System). The LED lights are able to dynamically adjust to the signal coming from the FireTV stick. It was a great addition to the family room. This solution put together cost around $150. See the pics!!!

A perfect splitter for my setup
As you can see in the picture I bought another splitter before, I needed connect my home theater video output to my Monitor and my proyector, sadly the first splitter wasn't HDR ready, and my PS4 lost that feature when the signal went trough the old splitter. This new one was perfect and it has a plus, it comes with a power adapter (I know it may sound some cheap value), but recently this kind of devices just have the cable and in my case, I don't have any more power adapters available at home. Great solution for me. I'm satisfied and I recommend 100%.

OK not Great
Pros:Splits 4K to 2 x 4KDownscales 1 to 1080pChroma Support 444 422 420 | Yes and No DownscaleCons:HDR EDID with Downscale mode does not work, HDMI1 HDR Display recognized as 4K Only.Must connect power to 1A capable device. Will not work with my cheapo USB hubInteresting:If you are using MKV or Blu Ray Disc from Oppo 203 then you can force HDR out regardless of EDID.Roku will have a problem make your Display be Non HDR in Downscale mode.Tried combining two splitters of different brands to see if I can get 422 chroma and Proper EDID for HDR 4K display. Always got 4K only with downscale on.

Great device to add a screen for your weekend sports!
This device does exactly what you need it to do. I was able to plug my cable box into it, and get the image up on two tv's simultaneously, with no quality loss. This is going to be great for sporting event parties! Have one screen face the kitchen, while the other stays facing the couch. Just need a longer HDMI so the second screen can be placed where i need it to be!

Doesn't support 4K & 1080p HDR output mode
Exactly as Christopher described, you will not get HDR output unless both output displays support it. I wanted this to take my PS4 pro HDR input signal and send a 4k HDR signal to my TV and a 1080p signal to my hd capture device. Unfortunately the HDR gets dropped and it sees my TV as a regular 4K display. This is the case when testing both a PS4 HDR signal and also a PC. As soon as I unplugged the 1080p device the HDR turned on for my 4K TV. No combination of TV settings or dip switch settings on the splitter can fix this. Very disappointed.

Works well
Using this device with 4K apple TV to send audio to older non 4k amplifier (Amp would not pass through 4K video signal) and 4k TV. Works well, no issues. Quality product.
