Extend a CAT - Ethernet cable, that is!
I had a main Ethernet cable from outside the house come to a junction box in my bedroom closet. From there, cables ran to every room. I didn't have room in the junction box and prefered to put my Internet router in a cabinet more central in the house that already had plenty of room and a power outlet. One of these connectors in the junction box coupled the main to the cable going to the room where I wanted it. Problem solved! Nice quality and feel when snapping the cables into the connector.

Stupid simple to use. Extend your Ethernet cables!
I bought this to relocate my cable modem. House has a central hub where all the Ethernet cables meet and where you would normally put your modem, router or switch. Problem is the hub box which is set inside a wall between the studs was to small to hold these items with sufficient circulation. So I used this to connect the living room patch cable with the office patch cable in the hub. Then put my cable modem in the living room and it effectively connected directly to my router in the office. I didn’t need a direct ethernet connection in any other rooms. In any event, there’s literally no thought needed to use these. Connection has been steady with no discernible loss in speed/transmission.Great buy!

Moving router is easier.
Moved my router to the front room and was going to have to run a new cat 5 cable but located these. Unhooked my setup and took it to the front room, took the cable from the front room to the router and used the connector to bridge to the cable to my gaming computer in the original location of the router. Simple and time saving, works well and I recommend this as a simple answer of how to connect two cat 5 cables end to end.

Works great to connect two network lines
I was on my laptop while waiting for my desktop to come back from the repair shop, and unfortunately the Cat5 internet line was too short to reach the laptop where it was sitting.Got those adapter and a loose spare cable, et voilà problem solved !They are also much better build quality than some other I found previously and which often had disconnection problems.

delivers the promised performance
the connectors work; nothing wonderful nor terrible about them. cannot figure out why they are packaged in pairs, as I suspect mort people will (like me) ever need to use only one at a time.

Works, if you truly need it
This WILL attenuate your Ethernet signal and can degrade your Gigabit speeds, but it can be a better alternative than trying to run a new cable in some cases.

Did not work for me.
I hooked one up to extend a cable that was already routed and needed 3 more feet. After connecting it did not work so I then tried it on a port we knew was working with some patch cables. The patch cables worked and we could get internet with those but when connected to the adapter nothing.

Great ethernet cable couplers!
!These work like a charm for connecting two ethernet cables together. These will work with any category ethernet cable (e.g. Cat5, Cat6, etc.). Also works with POE if you require that going through the cable.
