Q: How does this compare to Seachem Flourish?

Thrive+ contains all the necessary micro and macro nutrients, other than calcium and magnesium which may need to be added on top of this if you have soft water. Aside form that its truly comprehensive. Flourish Comprehensive if really only a micronutrient supplement. While it technically contains macros, they are in such small amounts that functionally they are absent. By way of comparison, if you wanted to add 7ppm of no3(nitrate) to a 10 gallon tank you would need ~2ml of Thrive. If you were to use seachem flourish you would need ~85ml. If you wanted to add 1.3ppm po4 with Thrive would would also use ~2ml, to do this with flourish you would need to add ~378ml. Its a good micronutrient source, just not an all in one(functionally). Yes you can use either one, the thrive+ is just a bit more concentrated and gives instructions for using in high tech and low tech.

If your kh is in a good range just using seachems equilibrium raises hardness (calcium and magnesium). If you also need to adjust kh using acid buffer and alkaline buffer will help. I use ro water in my tank so I have no minerals at all in my water so I must adjust every water change. I use these products with no issues

Q: Does Thrive+ contain liquid Carbon?

No, i does not. It is purely a macro supplement for a planted aquarium with irons, nitrates etc (and will require 25% water change before each dosing).
