Big (for domestic use)
Having purchased several brands of cookware the le crust, in its current form is one of the best. Exposed aluminium edges ,(rim and rivers usually), present in many lesser brands are a thing of the past making this casserole fully dishwasher friendly. Very easy to clean thought polished surfaces often need a buff to keep drying water marks at bay, when hand washing. There is quite physical jump between the common 20cm size and this 24cm model. On a 48 x54 cm hob one fits easily but two or more might be a bit tight if not impractical. Not as heavy or as thick feeling as might be expected, based upon other Le Crueset pans, but solid nonetheless. The shallow profile for cooking smaller quantities sautés style is great.{ The sautés pans at 6.2cm high are a bit too shallow for me and food often ends up spilling over the pour lip, hence the reason for this purchase). All round a great pan and reasonable to good value.

The best !!
There is nothing to dislike about this pan . It is so useful for many things . The heat is well distributed and furthermore it’s a breeze to clean. I’ve used it so much and it looks brand new. Expensive but worth every penny . Also the exact same pan and size in John Lewis was more expensive so I’m thrilled with this buy from Amazon !

Really great quality pans
Decided to upgrade my pans as the old ones (Tefal) needed replacing. Also decided to not use none stick pans due to the chemicals released and the connection to cancer. So glad I made the decision to buy these Le Crueset stainless steel ones, as they are fantastic. Good heavy, quality made pans. I’ve not had any issues with food sticking to the pans, the pans are heavy, where they don’t slide around on the hob and you can put them in the dishwasher. What was also really great was an offer with Amazon to pay monthly, so this allowed me to buy a set of pans and spread the cost. Would highly recommend these pans. I’m now looking at buying some of the roasting trays to go with the pans.

Good quality product...worth every penny
I have just switched back to stainless steel cookware and am not disappointed with my purchase. I tend to cook a lot of different cuisines and found this to be a great size pan (we are a family of 5).Retains heat so easy to cook on a low heat, cleans well and looks like new every time.Great value for money!

Great product. Pricey, but will last a lifetime, so good value.
Not cheap, but nevertheless I think this represents "good" value. I saw it at first in John Lewis and thought the quality was much better than anything else is saw (and John Lewis doesn't "do" cheap!). I got this firstly for gas and now on our induction hob. It is a fantastic product that feels it will last a life-time. The heat distributes very evenly and so you don't get the burning at the edge of the base where it becomes the side of the pan. It is even less likely to burn or stick on our induction hob, which is MUCH better than gas. We don't like non-stick pans, so with this pan (which does not have a non-stick coating) it is important to have even heat distribution and avoid burning - a cheaper pan has a thinner base and burns. Also we have had cheaper pans that warp - the centre rises slightly and so the deformed base is no longer flat, which means oils and juices flow to the sides, so food burns in the middle - not so with THIS pan - it is brilliant. Looks as good as the day we got it. Some have said it can suffer surface discolouration, but if you don't heat it too severely (why would you?) it does not suffer discolouration. Heating metals to a high temperature was a way to impart "colour" to metals - it was used in the gun manufacture process, making coloured side-plates for expensive guns - the message is, don't heat it too severely. If you want to blast food, use a wok. I'm tempted to get the 24cm one as well as the 30cm, but the price puts me off - one of these pans is "essential" within the kitchen, but 2 is an extravagance!

designed for life
The casserole was bought to replace a Tefal product when its non-stick coating had eventually given up. Although it was a nice pan the LeCreuset is in another class. It is beautifully made, feels like it will last forever with securely fitted handles and its shape has no sharp internal angles. This makes cooking in it and cleaning afterwards much easier. It does cook extremely well and I would certainly recommend following the advice to use only low to mid temperatures as heat transfer seems very efficient. In summary; well designed, well made and a pleasure to use. I love it.

What you would expect from Le Creuset
Bought this product to replace an old and worn Habitat non-stick sauté pan. What I like about this pan is the size - it is both a good diameter and also has plenty of depth for holding lots. Took a little bit of getting used to as it does heat up very quickly and so had to adjust cooking temperatures lower in order to avoid sticking. Would be good to have an option for a glass lid instead of the stainless steel (you can get one but have to buy it as an extra lid!). All in all a good pan after a little getting used to it.

great for stove-top meals
Almost everything I cook involves some stove top cooking, even to prepare a slow cooker meal. I was quite nervous to spend so much on one pan, but I have grown to love it. The pan seems to heat up much faster than others I have used, so you generally need to use lower heat settings, but it's faster to respond if you need to heat stuff up quickly. Initially I some problems with the pan getting so hot it caramelizes food very quickly. Since it is non-stick, this means you end up with stuff sticking to the bottom and edges. However after experimenting, I realized that I this is a good thing, you get loads more flavour from those browned stuck bits and as soon as you add any liquid to the pan, those brown bits come straight off. Cleaning is also surprisingly easy. Any liquid releases stuck on bits and the pan comes up like new every time. I'm really impressed.

Super produit
