Fun for pre-readers too

I got this for my 5 year old grandson who has not shown any interest in reading books, but loves the Wild Kratts TV show.He opened it right away and looked through the pages and then asked me to read it to him.Just getting him off his iPad and interested in a book was great! Good choice and educational too

Such a great book!

My kids love the Wild Kratts and reading their books brings a lot of adventure and fun for my kids. The educational aspect is wonderful as a parent, but the humor and awesome chemistry the brothers have encourage my kids to explore together without bickering :)

Great animal books

These books are so great! My 3 year old loves animals and these books have a lot of great information. I'm even learning something. The simple language and colorful pictures make these books we read over and over again!

An Excellent Book for Encouraging "Wild Kratts" Fans to Read ...

My five-year old grandson, who is obsessed with the Wild Kratts, really likes Martin and Chris Kratt’s “Wild Kratts: Wild Predators”. This book does accomplish an important goal – encouraging my grandson to read. If you also have a child or grandchild who has resolved not to read aloud, it does merit your consideration. The text of this book is interesting and informative. Following the introductory pages, each different predator is discussed on two facing pages. Since predators are found in all animal classifications, I liked that those discussed in “Wild Kratts: Wild Predators” included mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. Only predators in the fish family were omitted. The print is large and easy to see; there is not so much text that it overwhelms a child reading the book. The illustrations look much like the animation from the “Wild Kratts” television show.I am not as impressed by their latest offering as I was with former Wild Kratts books. I felt some of the discussions were ambiguous in their references or led the reader to misinterpret the discussion. For example, the chapter about jaguars stated they caught caimans; the next sentence stated “…they can be black or spotted…” Was “they referring to the jaguar or the caiman? This may be a picky point, but one that in the context of a child’s learning to read and to interpret what they read, I believe is relevant.“Wild Kratts: Wild Predators” is a very good book with which to encourage young readers. My grandson has been willing to try reading this book aloud. It features some of his favorite PBS characters; it is short, but not too short, and Martin and Chris Kratt “Activate Predator Power”!

My son is fascinated with the Wild Kratts! and so am I now! Their very informative way of teaching our kids all there is to know about animals and wild life makes everything we have purchased so far so very well worth it and I'm sure we are not done!! Love them!!!

Book is amazing for a beginner with help reader. I am really sorry that they don't produce books for older kids.

Ciao!

These are great little books for early readers who like animals. They held my daughter's interest and encouraged her to read new words.
