A good budget dynamic microphone
I've had pretty good luck with 'Amazon Basics' products, and this dynamic mic is another win, at least for my needs.I bought this primarily to use with the vocoders on my MicroKorg synths. At this price, I wasn't too worried about top drawer technical specs. It sounds fine with my vocoders, and that's all I care about. The body of this microphone is metal, so it has a nice heft when being held by hand, and it just feels like it will stand up to reasonable use. I like the matte black finish on the body. The business end has the classic heavy chrome mesh pop filter. Some people don't like an on/off switch on their mics, but I prefer it, and this one has a nice slider switch.I didn't read all the details when I ordered this, but I was surprised that the cord that comes with this mic is a very generous length, nice gauge (not thick but not thin) pliable rubber casing. It does terminate in a 1/4" male connection (it's not XLR to XLR), but that's just what I needed to connect to my MicroKorgs. The only place they kinda cut corners was the mic holder clip, which is plastic, and not very robust. It also does not come with any kind of carrying bag, so you'll either have to find one or store it in the box when not in use.Nice budget dynamic mic, though. :)

Good Budget Mic
These microphones are easy to setup with the computer. I sound awful singing in it but that’s true with any microphone so no fault there. Not the best mic out there but good for the price.

Didn't Improve Anything For Me
I bought this to plug into a portable blue tooth karaoke machine. The mics that came with the machine weren't impressive so I was hoping a more expensive mic would help. It Wasn't really much better so I returned it. Maybe if I had a better quality speaker it would have made a difference, I don't know.

Great price, quality mic, mic clip and cable
Took this out of the box and the weight surprised me. This thing is metal and has some heft to it. Feels good in the hand, very much like Sennheiser, AKG, EV, Shure etc. Comes with a mic clip and a long mic cable. The mic clip exhibits a little rubbery flex, a good thing, considering how easily cheaper clips break from being too brittle. The cable is female XLR on one end and 1/4" unbalanced TS on the other. I wish both ends were XLR. Even more, I wish they were right angled XLRs.When are you getting in the right angle and low profile XLR game AMZ?The mic sounds fine. I plan to use it at events where people are making speeches. As a musician, I wouldn't exclude it from use as a vocal mic, in the absence of the ones I'm familiar with. One negative I notice, is that an Amazon Basics XLR does not 'click' on to this mic. While it does lock, I do not hear that confirmatory click I'm used to with my other mics.
