Bought this to make an adapter - male 4 pin to female 2.5mm. I cut this one and the 2.5mm wites and joined them by wire color.It didnt work. I think this extension’s wire coloring wasnt conventional, i.e red is usually positive power and black is negative power. Anyway… if you are buying this to make adapters, dont assume all wires are colored to match the convention. But you can figure it out with a multimeter…. Price was good.

I had purchased a mirror dash cam for my minivan. The dash cam came with about 22 feet of wire for the rearview camera. Unfortunately I needed additional 4 - 5 feet of extension to reach the rear camera. The dash cam manufacturer were selling their 33 feet cable for about $25. I bought some other generic brands 33' cable that were selling between $15 - $17 but unfortunately none of them were able to power the rear camera. Enter this extension cord. It proved to be a perfect solution to use my existing 22' cable and extend the length (with some room to spare), all for under $7 rather than the $25 the seller for dash cam wanted.Been using this more than a month now on my rear camera and I have not had any problems so far. Recommend this product for folks who want 5' or less of extension cable for their rear camera with 4 pin connection.
