A scalpel that cuts cardboard on which you can't cut yourself.
Does the job. What you need for cutting through packing, and IT'S NOT DANGEROUS.

Horrible knife to use and the blades shattered way to easily... going back to scalpel blades
When cutting fabric with a straight edge they snagged and tore the material. When cutting paper with a straight edge they fouled and tore the paper. When cutting cardboard... they didn't.When trying to cut a tight turn the blade creaked and then snapped.Utterly useless.I will stick with surgical steel scalpel blades from now on.

A bit flimsy
I bought this as a lot of professional coloured pencil artists mention it in their tutorials. I use it for scraping the surface of coloured pencil off to give highlights on my work, which works really well. My only negative comment is it seems a bit flimsy and the blade wobbles rather than being fixed solidly in the casing. That said, it is much safer to use than a metal scalpel and also has a double ended blade for when it becomes a bit blunt (just remove and turn it round).

Not a good choice.
The ceramic blade lacks a decent point to the blade and needs more pressure to cut than a standard scalpel. This extra pressure could lead to inaccuracy of cut and an increased risk of slipping.
