Sturdy and Does the Job for the Price
This window lock bar feels sturdy and worked well in my small window to help secure my window AC unit. It was easy to install and gives some peace of mind. That said, it may not offer as much adjustability or range as some other options out there, so it’s best suited for smaller or more standard-sized windows.Overall, I’m happy with it for the price—it does what I needed it to do and feels solid enough for regular use.

Excellent at Holding My Air Conditioner in Place
I use this every single summer to help support my window AC. It really gives me peace of mind in knowing that the AC holds steady. It's easily adjustable and the tip helps it expand even further (good for larger windows). Speaking of tip, it's actually made of rubber so the slip resistance is pretty good.

Well Made But Should Be a Companion Piece
I used this to secure a vertical window that has a window AC installed. It's well made but I was actually close to returning it because it was just a little too short for my window. The next peg down was too tight and the next peg up was too short. Just then, I realize that you can unscrew the rubber portion at the bottom for micro adjustments. If you can't get a tight fit on your window, you'll want to use the screw near the rubber portion to get it as tight as possible.I do think the bar is probably better suited for sliding glass since it will sit flat on the sill and keep the window from being opened. For vertical windows, someone could just break your window and just push the bar out of the way. I still think it's good to have and extra peace of mind but I would probably go a step further with sash locks in addition to the security bar for extra protection. It will certainly defeat the average dumb crook but if someone really wants in, you'll want more than a bar that can be defeated by breaking the glass. It's still a good product and very well made and sturdy which is why I'm going 5 stars.

Not sure how this works
I have used security bars before, but this one doesn't work like any I've used before. First, it comes with 3 adhesive strips and it is not intended to be used as a permanent attachment to the door. This is inconvenient. I don't understand the end with the tip on it. Why? This came with no instructions. Don't know yet if I'm keeping it.

Great safety device
This will work, you can't push/pull up on the window which is just what I needed
