The Pepper extract process seems to use petroleum solvents or dichlomethane. Dichloromethane was banned for use in decaffenating coffee decades ago. There was some indication that a xyleen compound may be used to achieve higher concentrations of pepper extract. Apparently GRAS and patenting processes have allowed the use of dangerous solvents to be used. Keep in mind that US GOVT. tests only about one out of ten items for safety.Extractions being used were unknown to me when ordered. After getting stomach sickness, my research assistant discovered solvents for extraction were being used like dichloromethane and maybe xyleen compounds. Those familiar with laboratory practices know THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 100% PURITY.

I trust this product. I have used this product for a few months now and have ZERO kidney pain on this product (as another reviewer claimed) and much relief from pain and inflammation as a result of using it and no discoloration of my urine and only one kidney to filter it. I can vouch for this product being safe for those with kidney problems. This is the ONLY product that has only 95% Turmeric extract and no useless Turmeric Root Powder like ALL the others. I have read the label of nearly every Turmeric product on Amazon and this product is far superior to all others. Don't be fooled by titles and false promised, read the labels, you will see this is the only brand worth paying for. Take it from someone with only 1 kidney, it is SAFE and very effective for pain and inflammation! I highly recommend and will not buy anything else!

I love this product. I am not a doctor and I am not advising anybody to take this. Consult your physician before taking any medication/supplements. After much research, especially on the consumerlab.com site, I chose this product to see if it would help relieve the pain in my hips from bursitis. I started with 1 capsule per morning and again at night for a couple of days and not much relief. I then took 2 in the morning and 2 at night and NO HIP PAIN. !!!!! OMG!!!!! I have been suffering with this pain for awhile and FINALLY RELIEF. For me, and in my opinion, this works better than the normal NSAIDS, like a narcotic, but it's not a narcotic. Ok, now, please pay attention to what I am about to say...NOT ALL TURMERICs are the same. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!! For example, Turmeric alone, will not be absorbed by the body, it needs another ingredient. This product works for me. I LOVE IT!!!!

I began hearing about the health benefits of Turmeric a few years ago but never thought much about it. Recently I was reading about a woman in the UK who supposedly cured her cancer with large doses so I decided to look into it. After reading up on it and about its anti-inflammatory properties I decided to try some. Since I was a child I've suffered from both psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The worst of the pain is in my hands, hips, knees and feet. I've been on so many NSAIDS over the years that I've developed ulcers and gastritis and I've had to cut those way down and just live with the pain. I was skeptical about Turmeric but ordered it anyway.After using this brand for about 2 weeks, I'll say this: the pain in my hands is nearly completely gone. My hips are still sore but my feet and knees definitely feel less painful. Definitely encouraging results.Needless to say, I'm stunned that I'm actually having positive results and glad I decided to take a chance on this product. Try it and see what happens.One more thing. I would definitely recommend taking it after eating a substantial meal, especially if you have stomach issues. I made the mistake of not eating enough before taking it and when I burped it was like I had swallowed a burning candle!
