I love the ocean and I'm willing to make the change. I have been using it since 10/2019. It does leave a white cast if you are tan or darker skin, but I apply a darker liquid foundation and sometimes mix it with it; mixing works better. Do NOT wear it alone because of the white cast, unless you are at home. It took about 2 weeks for my face to get used to it and it would make me breakout a little, but now is fine. Is greasy for me who has combination skin. For the winter is perfect because I wouldn't need a moisturizer and I have dry skin during that time. I first use Farmacy green clean balm to removed it because is a mineral sunscreen and it would be difficult to remove ( I double cleanse) . It works well when sweating and outdoors, but I would be testing it in a swimming pool and the whole summer to see how my face reacts. I only use it for my face and neck. For my body I use the same brand, but with lavender scent. Again it would leave a white cast, but I don't mind it in my body.

This product works so well!! First let me say that I am WHITE! Like just this side of albino white skin, so protecting my skin from sunburn is both very important and extremely difficult. We are wrapping up our Galapagos vacation and I used this for each of four snorkeling trips, applying before we set out and then again after being in the water for more than a half hour.The equatorial sun is brutal and I did not burn!Now, I do also take other precautions with hats, savings, and staying in shade as much as possible, but for out on the open water this stuff just flat out works.There is one down side, though, just be prepared... It's thick and pasty. Just no getting around that! So, when you are slathered up with it, you aren't sweating like you should, so you should only use it for when you are going to be getting wet. I coated my hubby's bald head too soon before getting in the water, and he was miserable. I'm not counting that as any strike against the product, just something to take into account when using.

I LOVE this sunscreen. I am fair, I have always sunburnt so easy, less then 5 minutes in the sun and I burn. I have used many sunscreens in the past and I would still get sunburnt. I have now been using this product for almost 5 years. I have never sunburnt once when using it. ( I also use it on my fair skinned children and they have never gotten sunburnt!) I have never had a sunscreen actually work so well at protecting my skin! Yes it can be a little thicker to apply, But some rubbing in and your good to go!

Our fair skinned pale family recently vacationed in Belize. Prior to the trip I went looking for a reef safe sunscreen desperately hoping to find something better than the last one we tried which went on like chalk and was hard to rub in, etc. This Goddess Garden sunscreen was a fantastic answer to that search. It was more lotiony than previous ones and was easy to rub in, it did not have the strong mineral smell of previous attempts and it washed off in the shower fairly easy. And best of all, it worked! We followed the instructions to reapply every 2-3 hours, which was not a problem due to how easily it did rub in, and were able to spend multiple days in the bright Caribbean sun snorkeling, walking, etc., with zero sunburns.It did not generate any issues on my daughter's sensitive skin and did not seem to encourage any spots or pimples to break out. Even in the moist/muggy climate that existed there it, this sunscreen did not increase that muggy feeling anymore than our old regular sunscreen (Neutrogena) did. We used this on faces as well as bodies without issue.We may switch to using this sunscreen for all future sunscreen needs as it worked so well. Highly recommended for us.

I’m a pasty ass white boy who lives a mile closer to the sun (CO) than most so I have to be smart about exposure. This sun screen just works. This sunscreen isn’t sheer and has a white cast because it is a physical barrier rather than chemical one but white vs red skin, I’ll take the non burned any day.

Bought this for a trip to Mexico where we did some snorkeling near coral reefs. My husband and I wore this everyday at the beach, and neither burned at all. You definitely have to re-apply after swimming (like most sunscreens) but I thought it did a great job. I was nervous after reading a few reviews of people burning from reef-safe sunscreens in general, but this one did the trick! I have sensitive skin and did not break out even after having this on my face for 10 hour days. I took off one star because even though it blended in fine for me, it was a bit more difficult for my husband on areas where his hair is longer. Not a big deal at all though. Would recommend.

I love that this sunscreen is non-nano zinc, vegan, cruelty-free, reef-safe, AND it doesn't turn you into a whitish/purple human while out on the beach (like many physical blockers do). We brought the SPF 50 with us to Mexico - it is great! I would recommend keeping up on re-applying if you are in the water, but that is the case for all sunscreen (I failed to do so and got a little burned on my shoulders). I recommend this sunscreen - I think it's important to use safe products that are not produced at the expense of the environment or other species :)
