Shaving Factory SF317 Set for Men

Having never used a safety razor before, it took a little getting use to, but after the first few shaves it works great...Now I'm off the hook for buying $35.00 blade refills. It is a great starter kit with a TON of blades. I have had it now for almost a year, shaving several times a week, and I have not put a dent in the quantity of blades, If you pay attention to the blades there are actually 4 sides and they are numbered, so you can flip them over and keep shaving. The brush is super soft but firm enough to get a great lather, after a year it is loosing some of its bristles, but not enough to make any difference in its performance. I do absolutely love the shave cream it came with, It lathers up better than the can shave gel I normally used, and it has a cooling feeling several hours into the day, a little bit goes a long way.The SF317 Razor it self is great quality, blade changes are a easy, gripping with wet or damp hands is never an issue. Very easy to clean. Shipped quick and complete, I do recommend this to all my friends

Very fine kit! Also need to change your description.. It ships with 100 blades not 10 plus cream and a brush large enough to cover your whole cheek! Razor was of fine quality and the butterfly doors run smooth. Decent weight, although some are heavier it produces an awesome shave!! Stop and think about it.. cartridge shavers.. you get all this which whith the blades should cover you for at least a year for what you pay for a one month supply of disposable cartridges. Love the shave!!!!!Oh.. and for anyone saying that this razor is mild.. loosen the tightening knob on the bottom of the razor and it quickly becomes an adjustable razor. A trick my old man taught me. So you can literally set it for mild to aggressive depending on how tight you loosen or cinch down on the blade.

After doing much research and talking with my local barber...found this set and if you are considering getting back to an old-fashioned, unbelievable and smooth shave...this is diffently the best set to start out with. The brush is descent, razor is well built and comes with 100 spare blades. It also comes with a plastic case for the razor. Unlike many different reviews...do yourself a favor and research wet shaving and DO NOT think it is like shaving with the multiple blade sissy razors we spend hundreds of dollars a year on. Your shave and experience will be a wonderful transition. Good luck on regaining your old-fashioned man-hood back....I know you will enjoy this starter kit!!!

A little light but does the job. In hindsight I would have sprung the extra 10-20 buck and purchased a Parker or a Merkur. You're not supposed to apply pressure when shaving with a safety razor so it helps if it has some weight to it. The menthol shaving cream doesn't smell like menthol and kinda smells like a cheesy cologne but it's not so bad since it reminds me of the stuff my dad used to use when I was a kid. The brush is ok and the razors seem to be pretty good. Not a bad starter kit. I will probably upgrade after a few months.

First of all, congratulations on being a smart person if you begin using a DE or SE razor. It's better, more enjoyable, and cheaper than those crap disposables. This isn't the highest quality set, but if you're unsure about whether or not you'd like to invest the money to start wet shaving, give this a shot. I spent quite a while researching all over for a decent, cheap starter kit, and was not disappointed in this one. I still use everything except the shaving cream. I prefer Proraso.

I'm a recent convert to the classic DE razor and this was a great way to get started...butterfly razor is easy to use and easy to swap blades on, the shaving cream is as expected. I like the brush but wish I would have opted for a medium versus the large included here as the bristles are a bit long and don't maintain that certain stiffness needed when getting a good lather going. Overall very satisfied with product and the price I paid.

not bad for what you paid for , now i remember why we all switched to new diaposable razors. cuts, alway get cut with this style no matter what blade or presoak i do. back to new razors for me

Excellent shaver. Wish brush was a little less wide. Blades are good for me. Free shave cream is very good.Great deal for double edge shaving.
